Japan did not rape and massacre the people of Nanking. It was all a lie.

Japan did not force Asian women to become sex slaves in WW2. It was all a lie.

Japan invaded Asian countries in WW2 to liberate them from colonialism.

Japan is a peaceloving country.

Japan's Self Defence Force is for self defence only.

What else? Only the stupid Americans still believe in the Japanese bushido code, or samurai code of honour and think that the attack on Pearl Harbour was not meant to be a sneak attack, a premeditated attack hitting the American before war was declared.

Oh, Japan has to kill whales to conduct scientific research.

According to Abe, there was no coercion to force the comfort women to offer their bodies to the Japanese soldiers. They did it voluntarily. They must either loved the Japanese soldiers or sacrificing themselves for the Japanese Empire.

All 200,000 or 300,000 Korean women, Chinese women, Filipinos and others, willingly let the Japanese soldiers to rape them, out of their free will.

How callous and insulting can such a remark be? Do the Japanese have any respect for other people?

Documentary depicts horrors of Nanking Massacre

NEW YORK: An award-winning documentary about the massacre carried out by Japanese soldiers in the Chinese city of Nanjing is so vivid that it left many members of the audience sobbing uncontrollably when it was shown at a film festival in New York on Thursday.

The screening of the film, entitled Nanking (the old spelling of the city's name), at the Tribeca Film Festival coincides with the 70th anniversary of the invasion.

While some members of the audience shed tears silently in the theater, others sobbed out loud.

Speaking after the film, one member of the audience said: "It is really depressing to watch that chapter of history. Now I think I can partially understand why Chinese American author Iris Chang took her own life after finishing her book The Rape of Nanking."

Nanking tells the story of the Japanese invasion of the present capital city of East China's Jiangsu Province, in the early days of World War II. At that time, Nanking was the capital of China and as part of a campaign to conquer all of China the Japanese subjected it to months of aerial bombardment. When the city fell, the Japanese army engaged in murder and rape on a horrific scale.

In the midst of the rampage, a small group of Westerners banded together to establish a safety zone where more than 200,000 Chinese found refuge. Unarmed, these missionaries, university professors, doctors, and businessmen including a German member of the Nazi party bore witness to the events, while risking their own lives to protect civilians from the slaughter.

The story is told through deeply moving interviews with Chinese survivors, chilling archival footage and photos of the events, and the testimonies of former Japanese soldiers.

The events became familiar to the film's producer, Ted Leonsis, who is also vice-chairman of AOL, in early 2005 when he stumbled across Iris Chang's obituary. It inspired him to read her book, which shocked him so much that he decided the story had to be told on screen.

Original sources

In the summer of 2005, Leonsis hired the Academy-Award-winning writer/ director team of Bill Guttentag and Dan Sturman to lead his project.

To find the materials that would bring the story of Nanking to life, Guttentag, Sturman and their production team collected thousands of pages of letters, journals and diaries for three months by trawling original sources and archives in the United States, Europe and Asia.

In December 2005, co-producer Violet Du Feng traveled to Nanjing to meet more than 30 survivors. When Leonsis, Guttentag and Sturman, and the rest of the production team arrived in China, they spent three weeks interviewing 22 survivors in the cities of Nanjing, Suzhou and Shanghai.

Filming in Japan was more difficult because the subject of Nanking is highly controversial. Those who participated in the film were found through members of the Japanese peace movement.

On returning from Asia, the production team began the final piece of filming the staged reading with actors. Filming took place in Los Angeles last August.

Their efforts were not in vain. In January, the documentary debuted at the Sundance Film Festival where it received the Editing Award. In April, it won the Humanitarian Award for Best Documentary at the Hong Kong International Film Festival.

To this day, some ultra-conservatives in Japan continue to deny or minimize the scale of the Nanking Massacre and pay annual pilgrimages to the Yasukuni Shrine where 14 Japanese class A war criminals are enshrined.

In the run-up to December, the 70th anniversary of the invasion of Nanking, the Chinese and Japanese governments have convened a joint committee of historians in an attempt to agree on a common version of the history of the Sino-Japanese conflict, including what happened in Nanking.

"It is time to repent. Denial will only lead to more mistakes," said another member of the audience.

Simply 'DENIAL' i.e. 'Self disillusionment'. The Turks have done it, the Germans have been forced to witness it, the Islamic peoples are in denial about a lot of things, among them the 'Holocaust'.

'New proof' of Japan sex slaves
By Chris Hogg
BBC News, Tokyo

About 200,000 women worked as Japanese sex slaves in WWII
Reports from Japan say documents have been found that suggest the Japanese forced women to work as sex slaves during World War II.

They come from the Dutch government archives and include the testimony of a 27-year-old Dutch woman from May 1946.

The Kyodo news agency says the documents show women were coerced into prostitution in occupied Indonesia.

Japan's PM Shinzo Abe had claimed no evidence existed to prove that women had been forced to work as sex slaves.

The documents are reported to have been found by a Japanese journalist investigating Japan's wartime crimes in Asia.

'Comfort women'

The Dutch woman's testimony says she had her clothes ripped off her by Japanese military police.

She says she was taken to a brothel and forced to work as a prostitute, despite her efforts to resist.

That testimony, it is claimed, was submitted to the Tokyo War Crimes Tribunal as evidence of forced mass prostitution in Magelang, in what is now Central Java, in 1944.

Other documents are said to include further allegations that the Japanese forced women into prostitution.

Earlier this year Prime Minister Abe said that investigations had failed to find any documentary evidence that the Japanese authorities in wartime had issued orders to soldiers to coerce women into sex slavery.

He said though that he stood by a Japanese government apology to the women, known in Japan as "comfort women".

The journalist who found these documents says they contradict the prime minister's denial that the authorities were directly involved in coercion.

The Japanese Foreign Ministry says it is aware of his claims but has not seen the documents so cannot comment on what they might contain.

It says the Japanese government has investigated its wartime activities in Indonesia thoroughly and acknowledges and apologises for the country's wartime use of sex slaves. "

Japan has done it again

The world's biggest privately owned nuclear plant is leaking radioactive waste into the sea and the level is much higher than the Japanese are willing to acknowledge. And Abe is now calling for more transparency and demanded that the power company explain things clearly to the common laymen to understand.

This is a serious threat to Gaia and the environment. Japanese must quickly owned up and take remedial actions rather than pretend that it is not serious.

And it is also a lesson for the less able and advanced countries who have nuclear ambition to ask themselves if they have capable and professionally trained technicians to manage a nuclear plant. Any mishap or accident can wipe out a lot of lives and affect the neighbouring countries.

Having nuclear plants is not like wanting to build a car factory. The consequences are grave.

Why are the western media so quiet about this transgression? If it were to happen in China or North Korea, all the western media will flash it across their front page and accusing them of all kinds of things.

Japan, the military demon awakening

Despite all its claims of being a peaceful nation, the Japanese have been quietly and steadily reviving their militarism and are eager to tell the world that the old Japan, military supremacy, is back on its feet. The Japanese military build up is anything but small. Its armed forces are probably bigger than the Chinese in financial terms or at least not too far off. It could even take on the two Koreans combined if necessary, and China, with the Americans behind them. That is how powerful the so called Japanese Self Defence Force is.

And like Taiwan, they are slowly changing all the names from a Self Defence Force that cannot be deployed to conduct wars outside Japan, to a normal, and a military machine to wage wars against other nations. Its constitutions too have been amended. And the regular visits to the Yasukuni Shrine and the drumming up of military sentiments and past glories, including rewriting history books, revealed the real intention of the Japanese.

Iraq was a stepping stone to test the water. And with the Americans controlling the agenda, the world kept quiet and allowed Japanese troops to be deployed outside Japan. Now that the taboo is over, the next and more aggressive posturing will be Afghanistan. The Americans are goading the Japanese to go along as a warring partner after Europe have given up on them. Now it is left only for one war mongering nation to join hands with another war mongering nation to prove how capable they are in the conduct of war.

Afghanistan is the new battle ground for imperialist forces to quell the resistance. Afghanistan will be the new burial site for young Americans and Japanese soldiers. Japan will see their first war casualties after the Second World War in Afghanistan. Two eager beavers who see military supremacy as the absolute goals for their nation, and for the egos of their political leaders.

When the rest of Europe and Asia were devoting their resources and energy in the peaceful pursuit of trade and industry, America and Japan are making plans for more wars.

Rice and the Japanese Sushi are in serious discussion on how many Japanese troops should be deployed in Afghanistan. Did the world see another Hitler and Hirohito in the making?

America - the warmongering nation

Conscription may be coming to a recruiting station near you soon! Bush supporters encouraged to be first in line.

Every wish the Bush twins or the Romney boys could get drafted? Do you want to see the rest of the warmongering crowd, military service dodgers who brought you the debacle in Iraq forced to enlist (or at least their children or families)? Do you feel like the “burden of a ruinous war” should be shared by all?

Lucky for the bellicose and combative among us who crave infinite war, cheer it on, and advocate Global American Militarism, there is hope.

Yes, those who desire war the most may actually get their chance to participate on the front lines and in the hot sands of the Iraq quagmire.

A Japanese Miracle

A new baby, fathered by America, mothered by Australia and delivered by Japan is born. And now Abe has turned salesman to market this baby to India. It is called the Asian Arc of Freedom.

And Abe has skipped ASEAN, the collection of all the South East Asian states, for good reasons. ASEAN would not want to be the pawns to big power politics.

The only thing Asian about this baby is perhaps the inclusion of Japan. It was not even conceived in Tokyo but Washington. I am still trying to figure out why it is not call the American Arc of Freedom. But the Japanese have not been good at the English Language. That is excusable.

And why would an Arc of Freedom be promoted by the villian of Asia? Japan was the only Asian country that attempted to colonise the whole of Asia. Would it not be a mockery for Japan to promote freedom? Actually the Japanese knew very well where they stand in the eyes of the Asian states. And so it cleverly skip the two Koreas. Otherwise it will be cooked Korean BBQ styled.

Fortunately, as the events played itself out after the WWII, Japan is today but a colony of America. Now it is dancing to the tune of its colonial master.

Hail Nippon san! How about a new Asian Co Prosperity Sphere to include America and Australia?

Japan's responsibility to maintain peace around the world!

This is what Abe said about committing troops in Afghanistan. He said Japan is committed to the USA, naturally, as a semi colony, and the world, to maintain peace.

How many people believe that the savages that ran through the whole of East and Southeast Asia, killing, bombing and burning, be qualified to maintain peace for the world? The Japanese must think that the world are stupid.

What is more the truth is that Japan is building up its military and preparing for war. It can do a repeat of the second world war if the world drops its guard against this brutal and barbaric military force.

The world remembers what Japan did in the second world war. Never to forget the lesson dished out by the Japanese.

No Nanking massacre

This is according to the truth by Japanese film director Satoru Mizushima and some Japanese nationalists. If they are right, then the world is lying. And the hanging of the war criminals involved in war crimes during World War 2 was a miscarriage of justice.

And very likely the dropping of Atom bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki did not happen. So was the holocaust.

All these were lies created by the victors after the war. History must be rewritten according to what people. especially the Japanese nationalists would want to believe and want the world to believe.

They never kill or hunt whales but kill them for research. What honourable Japanese truth.

Why to these ultra nationalist Japanese that Nanking massacre was just a fairy tale from the victors?

If A-bomb drop in Hiroshima and Nagasaki did not happen can they explain the B29 bomber pilot that just die few months ago?

I say US should have drop 10 A-bomb in 1945 to teach them a valuable history lesson. This is what make majority of Asians (those who suffer under their rule) so angry. Evil or Very Mad

Hmm kill them for research? hahaha what an honourable Japanese people. You don't kill them for research you kill them for food.

10 A bombs! Not a bad suggestion. The whole of east and southeast Asia was in turmoil because of the Japanese invasion. Otherwise there will be no killing in such a scale.

But we may still be a colony. History and life are funny. The changes are unpredictable and so are the consequences.

I thanks the western force that liberated us from the brutal hands of the Japanese invaders. Otheriwse, we may be forced to forget our culture and history. Speak Japanese and live like slaves. Mass starvations and massarces will take place everyday in Singapore. No Mujullah Singapore for us, only long-live to Japanese Emperor.

This is simply absurd.

As usual, a leopard does not change its spot.

Despite war-past lessons, the Japanese still intend to re-invade Asia. In my view, Japanese race has a very strong nationalism and tends to invade other countries for land and resources. No doubt this time is still the same reason for the agressiveness of Japan.

I guess by fully eliminating Japan will solve the problem once and forever.
