Voice of China – New meaning on freedom and human rights
I watched a few series of Voice of China where young artistes were given a chance to sing in front of a few hundred million viewers, on CCTV. There are similar programmes like Sing My Song, I Am a Singer, also offering opportunities for talented young people to showcase themselves, pitching their own talents and turning themselves into successful pop idols on their own. Three memorable individuals like Zhang Bi Chen, Su Yun Ying and Huo Jun were really impressive. Watching them performed gave rise to an unspeakable emotion within me, and my eyes welled up. It was so warmth and comforting to see young people carving out a new future of fame and fortune for themselves without having to depend on anyone else. The system allowed it, allowed freedom of expression and for a person to be his very own best, to be himself and accepted and appreciated. These rights were robbed from the Chinese people for almost 200 years, by the ex colonialists, notably the West.
Reflecting back, 50 years ago, 100 years ago, such things would not happen. Talented young individuals like these young men and girls would at best be begging for a few coins thrown at them on the roadside or in tea houses. And often, for a few coins, they would suffered the indignity of being embarrassed, harassed, abused or taken advantage of. They were at the mercy of corrupt officials, the rich and mighty and the bad. For nearly two centuries, the Chinese people suffered such humiliation for being weak and poor, for lacking opportunities, for living in a bankrupt political system made worst by foreign invasion, wars, bullying, looting, cheating and corruption. All the talented individuals did not have a chance to be what they could be, their talents treated with dismissive intolerance and wasted in a broken poverty stricken country. The result, the Chinese had no talent.
Many of our parents had no choice but to migrate to run away from such abject poverty when the simple right of survival is not even there. There was nothing, no pride, no dignity, no shame, just poverty. What human rights to talk about, what freedom of expression, what opportunity to excel in one’s pursuit in any field, in the arts and in the industries. That was what life was in a China that was not a country, insulted and branded as the Sick Man of Asia. The Chinese people were despised as a people, as a hopeless civilization where its people were like hapless flotsam in the ocean of life, weak, defenceless and taunted as useless and untalented and unskilled scum of civilization. Every country in Asia and SE Asia was even better off than China and the Chinese landing on their shores eking for a living, to do anything that their labour, blood, sweat and tear could exchange for. Being Chinese was a shame, a curse, to be less than a human bean. Where was the freedom, where was the human rights?
Today, China has rebuilt itself and is standing among the nations of the world as an equal among the equals. The Chinese people are now given the opportunity to be what they could be, to develop their talens and to excel in every field of pursuit, with pride and human dignity. Communism or whatever, China and the Chinese people are now able to live a normal and decent life, to live like human beans, to have a roof over their heads, to eat well and live well. They have security and a sense of well being.
Would democracy offer China and the Chinese people the life they are having today? Everyone one of them living in peace and security, and dreaming of making their dreams come true and with very real possibility of their dreams coming true, on their own merit, individual merit, without having to depend on anyone else. Freedom and human rights have returned to China.
There is a China Dream. The Chinese can dream of anything and making their dreams come true. This is the meaning of freedom and human rights, the Chinese way. The Chinese people have regained their confidence as a people, as a civilization, to have found a new pride to be Chinese. They are proud of their country and what they have achieved on their own, as individuals and as a country, a nation, on their own effort and hard work. Everything is now possible for the Chinese people. And they know it.

Trump declares national emergency - Obama on the run
There is a video discussing about the fate of Obama, that he is wanted for committing felony, and could serve time behind bars. Just watch this, https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=obama+on+the+run&&view=detail&mid=ECA436FE9D9066B1EE7BECA436FE9D9066B1EE7B&rvsmid=A7BC92DBD2C8F2257668A7BC92DBD2C8F2257668&FORM=VDQVAP
Though this video is a bit dated, the latest declaration of a state of national emergency is still unfolding. Trump is out for the blood of Obama, Hillary and Comey, the trio that abused the power and expertise of intelligence agencies to listen to phones of presidential candidate Trump and also in hacking election results. Yes, election results can be hacked. What does this means? It means they could jig the results of an election to favour a candidate. Obama did that in 2008 and they did the same thing for Hillary against Trump. But this time it did not work. Why?
My understanding, they fixed the results with certain percentages of the votes to favour their candidate. Unfortunately, after loading on the results, it still failed because the votes in favour of Trump were so huge, so overwhelming that the loading still could not help Hillary to win.
This kind of hacking or jigging of election could mean two kinds of results. The favoured candidate lost marginally because of an overwhelming votes for the other candidate. On the other hand, if the voters voted in favour of the favoured candidate, the result would show an overwhelming win for the favoured candidate as the votes would add to the already loaded results.
The Obama/Hillary/Comey camp was very sure that this could be done as they had done it, according to the video. So after losing, they were confident to accuse the Russians of hacking the results. It could be done. It could be done, and they knew it.
The key point, even in the USA, election results can be hacked, rigged, and fixed. The revelation of this truth is going to shock the world. Votings can be hacked if it is computerized, electronic hacking. Anything computerized can be rigged by the hackers if they can gain access to the data. And no one is wiser.
Now we should sit back and see how Trump bring the election cheats and put them behind bars. Obama is hiding in Tahiti, French Polynesia, with no extradition treaty with the USA. If Obama remains there, you know that he is damn guilty.
There is now news or fake news that Trump has ordered the seizure of properties and assets of Obama and Hillary. Now if only this is real, the world is going to see something really big.

What is the intention of China

In every conversation, forum or western think tank talks, this question would pop up. What is the intention of China's growing economic and military power? What a stupid question to ask. The Americans and the West are getting stupid but they should not think the Chinese are stupid. What kind of answer are they expecting from the Chinese? What would they think they would do or intend to do if they were in the position of China?

The only sensible western academic that has some sense of propriety and reasoning is Hugh White. His answer was simple commonsensical. When one is rich and powerful, one would just be rich and powerful just like the Americans. Are these westerners and Americans still believe that China would live in a world created and dominated by the West for the last two hundred years and continue to be subject to the rules of the West and the existing balance of power?

For more than two hundred years since the invading hordes of European colonialists went about conquering and colonising the rest of the world, the balance of power is such that they should be holding all the powers in the world and the rest of the world must be subject to their power. They would want to possess all the weapons of mass destruction and no one else should have them, and if anyone else has them, the West or the Americans must have 99 pieces while the other one can only have one. And every piece of the American or western weapon is to be bigger than the one possess by the other one. This is the balance of power for the last two hundred years. The Israel is trying to impose this formula on the Arab/Muslim countries as well.

Any country that want to have more than one weapon, even two or three, is immediately branded and demonises as aggressive, unconstructive and destructive, and not playing by the international rule they created. The Americans can have all the military bases around China, fly and sail their military craft on the coast of China, and this is the norm. The American Carrier Battle Group can sail freely in the seven seas to challenge and threaten any country, including China. China cannot fly or sail its military craft out of China or the seas around China. China cannot have military bases outside China. Doing so would be an aggressive and provocative act. China having anti carrier missiles to deny American CBGs from threatening China is accused of being an aggressive act. The Americans sailing CBGs to the Taiwan Straits to intimidate China is not aggressive? The bombing of Chinese Embassy in Belgrade is not aggressive? The rapes of Iraq and Libya and Syria are not aggressive?

The Americans can build military fortresses in the Indian and Pacific Ocean filled with nuclear weapons and WMD and not aggressive. The Americans proliferating nuclear weapons all over Europe and Asia not aggressive? China cannot have a few aircraft or naval ships in its islands in the South China Sea. This is provocative, expansionist, aggressive act that upsets the balance of power?

What is China's intent in doing all these? Do the Americans and the West believe that China, with all its economic clout and military might, would continue to be holed within its land and sea boundaries and allow the Americans to have free play around its borders, flaunting their military prowess and might?

Do the Americans and the West really believe the Chinese are so daft that after being invaded, their country looted and plundered during a time of weakness, would accept the same status quo imposed on them by the colonial and imperial powers of the West then and today?

China may not want to be like the colonial West or Imperial Americans, to want to control and dominate the world militarily. The least China would want to do is to look at the Americans straight in the eyes and to tell the Americans to back off and not to cross the path of China in its economic development and growth and in building its military power to defend itself. The least that China would want to do is to stop the Americans from telling and coercing them in whatever they are doing. China would want to be an equal member in the community of nations and would not allow the Americans or the West to dictate what China can or cannot do.

The balance of power would be 50:50 and no longer 90:10 in favour of the Americans and the West. If the Americans can have 11 CBGs, can have 1000 military bases all over the world, China would also want to have the same if their economic and military strength allowed them to do so, not that they would go that way. China did not have the ambition to be an Empire and need all the military bases and CBGs to protect the Empire, to bully the world and to rule the world. China just want to be a rich and powerful nation, to chart its own destiny for the prosperity of its people and perhaps also for the prosperity of the rest of the world, without being a military Empire.

Did I answer the stupid question being asked by the West and the Americans? Or are they hoping that the bankrupt West would continue to dictate the terms of international relations in their favour when China is strong enough to say No to them, that China must continue to be push around by the West, by the Americans?

The rise of North Korea as a nuclear power
The North Koreans have proven that they have the capability and the missiles to deliver their nuclear weapons. Period. The silly buggers in Washington can go on yelling that they would not recognize North Korea as a nuclear power but the facts are facts and no amount of silly denials would change the situation.
Oh, the rogue Empire would still be thinking of changing this reality by conducting a preemptive strike to destroy North Korea’s nuclear weapon and missile facilities. They have made elaborate plans to invade North Korea together with the rogue Japanese. They have sounded out to Russia and China and the UN and their European allies. Russia and China have made it clear, no invasion of North Korea, no war in the Korean Peninsula. And if the Americans dare to, they would be on the side of the North Koreans, to take on the Americans and the Japanese.
To make their position clear, the Chinese and Russians have moved their troops to the borders of North Korea. China has moved at least 150,000 men to mean business. Though the diplomatic excuse was to control an anticipated surge of refugees, the troops and their anti aircraft missiles would not lie. The missiles have no relevant to the refugees and are meant for the Americans and the Japanese.
Kim Jong Un is very secure with the Chinese and Russian troops at the borders. He knew very well that the troops were there to support him in case the mad Americans and barbaric Japanese attacked. And he can continue to defy the Americans and call the American bluff. An American attack would be against North Korea, China and Russia and it would be a multi lateral war. All the American forces would come under the attack of the Russian and Chinese forces. The anti aircraft missiles would be targeted at the American bombers. The anti ship missiles will be aimed at the American aircraft carriers and North Korean medium range missiles against all the major targets in Japan and Guam.
The Chinese and Russians would not allow a war in the Korean Peninsula and would do everything they could to prevent it happening and would fight the Americans if necessary. What is frightening and dangerous is the reckless rhetoric and manouevres of the Americans that could be misread by the North Koreans and all hell breaks loose. The mad Americans must restrain themselves and desist from fiery and foolish talks of attacking North Korea and flying their war machine all over the sky. A miscalculation is all it takes to bring about Armageddon.
An additional risk is the Japanese element. The Japanese have all to gain to provoke a fight between the Americans and the Chinese/Russians to mutually destroy each other. They could easily force the issue by conducting a sneak attack that would trigger a full blown North Korean reaction and the rest would be history.
Though a war is unacceptable and unlikely given the severe nature of the consequences, it cannot be ruled out when some actors would want to provoke it. With or without a war, unless it is nuclear annihilation of the Korean people, North Korea is now an established nuclear power to be reckoned with. The Americans like it or not would have to accept this reality and live with it. It is in their interest and the good of the American people that they should behave themselves, not acting like a rogue, and avoid raising tensions and risking a nuclear war with the North Koreans with the backing of China and Russia.
To the rogue Empire, you are not alone. You cannot hit anyone at your pleasure with impunity. Your reckless and irresponsible aggressive ways have come to an end, at least in the Korean Peninsula.

When value is irresistible

Many snobs in the West are still sneering at any product made in China. Some have cultural biases and would never buy Chinese because of their deep inherent negative upbringings against China and Chinese. But when value for money does matter, Chinese or not Chinese, the products sell by itself. The consumers would want value for money and they know if they are getting value or otherwise. Wallmart would have gone backrupt long ago without Chinese made products. Apple would not be able to sell its handphones if they are not made in China.

With greater interconnectivity, with online shopping crisscrossing the world, Singapore as a shopping paradise and Orchard Road in particular would see its day numbered. No consumer would want to pay through their noses when they can get the same product at a fraction of the price in Orchard and within the reach of a finger hitting the keyboard. The state of denial that Orchard Road can reinvent itself and Singapore continues to be a shopper's paradise is over despite the hype of the Jewel in Changi. No retailers can afford to price its products beyond its competitors. Orchard Road is a microcosm of what Singapore is all about, unsustainable, high price low value, high salary low productivity joint.

Look at the sales transacted over ezbuy, taobao, aliexpress, Qoo10, Lazadas etc etc, the amount is hundreds of millions daily. The numerous distribution points set by by the likes of ezbuy are all over the islands and with numerous repeats per day per point and with long queues of consumers happily collecting their value buys, mostly goods made in China and South Korea. No one is complaining. One can get a genuine mechanical or automatic watch, made in China, with genuine Seagull mechanism for less than $50, the same mechanism that many western brands used.

And Chinese cellphones are flooding the markets across the world. Even in India, a country that would not want to buy anything Chinese, could not resist the value for money Chinese cellphones and other products that could be had at even cheaper price than Make in India products. The Chinese cellphones are dominating the Indian market with a controlling market share.

Value is irresistible. No amount of talks or negative commentaries could beat products that are value for money. No amount of gimmicks would make consumers pay more for less. The retailers may think the consumers are stupid but would have to live with the realities when consumers just stay away when they could not find value in their goods.

This value is irresistible can be expanded in scope to cover AIIB and BRI or One Belt One Road. Both are great initiatives from China that would benefit all the participating countries. The Americans and its allies have put all the stops and obstacles and offensive propaganda against these two projects. American allies were told not to participate. But the values of these two projects stood up glaringly and those countries seeing their goodness found them irresistible and went against the dictates of the rogue Empire. They joined in full force and the Americans, while trying to isolate China found itself isolated, together with Japan.

When something is created that is of value, there is no fear that it would be rejected. But things that are of no value and overpriced would soon be rejected and dumped.

PS. The European Central Bank and Germany and several western nations have include the Chinese Yuan in their reserve currencies to hedge against a US dollar that is going to turn into banana currency soon.Saudi Arabia is going to sell oil to China using Chinese Yuan, not American banana currency. They knew that they have been had by the Americans. Their hoards of petrol dollars would vanish like smokes in thin air soon.

Old World Order OWO versus New World Order NWO
The Old World Order, OWO, was created by the American Empire post WW2. The key elements of this OWO is all about an Empire and either you are with the Empire or against the Empire. The Empire also believes in war as the main solution to international relations and has been expanding military gangsterism using the guise of military alliances. War instead of diplomacy is the guiding principle of the American designed OWO. War is also the means to create instability and dependency on the Empire’s military might. Thus, war becomes more and more prevalent and widespread in the world under the OWO. War is also driving the major industries of the American Empire, the weapons and war machine industries, the most profitable industries but without contributing anything good or benefiting the people of the world except destruction and loss of lives. And for war to be relevant to the Empire, enemies or demons must be created to justify war. It is all about creating a state of constant tension and conflict between the Empire and their demonized states.
The New World Order, NWO, led by China, is about economic growth, trade and cooperation for the good of the people of the world. In pursuit of this new reality, China has embarked on a major initiative in infrastructure development all over the world by injecting trillions of dollars into several international and national banks to finance these developments and to promote trade. War and conspiring to build military alliances to conduct war are furthest in their policies and agenda. Many developing countries have benefited from the Chinese initiatives and enjoying higher rates of economic growth through trade and infrastructure developments. Without the Chinese pumping money into these countries, many would register low economic growth or negative growth.
In spite of the economic progress that China is bringing to the rest of the world, in Africa, Central Asia, Latin America and SE Asia, while the American Empire is conducting wars all over the world, destroying the economies and lives of many in the war torn countries, China is branded by the western media as a belligerent and warlike country while the warmonger American Empire is trumpeted as a peace loving country. The saddest part of this tragicomedy is that many silly leaders and their people still believe in the American lie, in the OWO that is plagued with constant warfare, and refuse to accept the new reality created by China. They refused to see the economic growth that China is bringing into their countries and still want to join the American formula of military alliances and provoking and fighting wars.
The Philippines under Duterte has seen through the American lies and is turning to China for economic cooperation and development. So is Malaysia and Thailand and to some extent Vietnam and Indonesia. The Americans are getting wary and suspicious of the Philippines and have sent James Matthis, the war hawk, to try to get the Vietnamese and Indonesians to join them in their military gangsterism. They would not want to leave SE Asia in peace. They would not go away. They want to sow more discord and division and to plant the seed of war in SE Asia.
They want to maintain the OWO with American primacy and to be the ruling Empire of the world. Would the Vietnamese and Indonesians be lured by the evil Americans and join the world’s number One gangster to be enemies of China, their number One trading partner? Malaysia and Myanmar have seen the evil hands of the American Empire messing with their domestic politics, trying to create instability and even to do regime change against their interests and are keeping the evil Americans at arms length.
If the warmongering Americans succeed in what they are trying to do, to keep a tight grip on the OWO, the world will be in a constant state of incessant warfare and the war zones shifting from one region to another. Which country would be the next target of the American Empire is as good as anyone’s guess. There is no neutrality, it is either becoming a stooge member of the international gangster or be its victim. The Americans are relentlessly recruiting more countries to become international gangsters.
For the NWO to establish itself, to replace the OWO, countries of the world must see through the American hypocrisy and evil ploys, the warmongering, the military threats, and resist any attempt to recruit them to be part of the international mafia. Trade and economic development are the ways for peace and prosperity for humanity, not war, not military gangsterism. The OWO must go and be replaced by a peaceful and prosperous NWO. Wherever the Americans go, there will be military alliances and war. Instead of peace, the Americans create tension and instability, start war. Wherever the Chinese go, there will be investment, infrastructural development, trade and economic growth.
The choice is clear and obvious, but not to those who are suffering from stupidity has no cure. China was a major victim of the OWO and western colonialism and imperialism. China has seen the obsolescence of the OWO and war. War must not be the norm to conduct international relations. The future is about peace and development, interconnectivity, trade and cooperation. The Americans still cling to the old belief that war is everything and war is the only thing they know. They have been threatening everyone with war while claiming that they are for peace. The wars in modern history and today are all created by the Americans and more to come if they have their ways.

Asean step up effort to counter terrorism
It one thing to talk about countering terrorism. It is another to know who are the terrorists. It is even more serious to know who is the world’s number one terrorist and who is funding, training and support the terrorist organizations of the world.
Do the Asean countries understand this? Do they know? How many Asean countries are sleeping in the same bed as the world’s number one terrorist and even working with the world number one terrorist in terrorist operations?
What is terrorist operation? It is not just about indiscriminate suicide bombers. It is indiscriminate bombing of innocent people, invading a country, conducting regime change, and killing them in the thousands, hundreds of thousands. It is inciting wars, provoking wars, threatening wars. These are the operations of terrorists.
The Americans are fabricating another lie that the Syrians are using sarin gas and like WMD, would justify its military operation and occupation of Syria. It is increasing threats against North Korea to demand the latter to give up its nuclear weapons while it is upgrading its nuclear arsenal, the biggest in the world, to become more deadly. It is adamant to provoke a war between the two Koreans. Who is the real terrorist?
Would Asean be working against the real terrorist or be working with the real terrorist to create more fear and destruction around the world? If Asean do not know or refuse to see the real terrorist behind all the terrorist organizations, it is pure theatrics at best when it is talking about fighting terrorism.
What a joke? So pathetic?
Is Asean becoming a joke? The only good sign is that Asean is starting to see that China is a friendly power in the region and unanimously supported more joint military exercises with China. This is Asia and Asians must not continue to be ruled by the slayers of Red Indians, Africans, Arabs and Muslims. Asians have grown up and are capable of looking after themselves in peace. There is no need for war and for the world’s number terrorist from across the world to start wars in Asia.

The Lunar New Year homecoming
2.98 billion trips, not 2.98m trips would be taken in the 40 days before and after the Chinese New Year of the Dog. Hundreds of millions of Chinese would return home for family reunions, a modern day migration of people working in the cities and overseas and making it a point to be reunited and to be in touch with parents, children and siblings during this festive season. These people will be travelling by land, rail and road, by trains, coaches and private vehicles, and by air and sea/river to be home all over China, some in remote villages, in the mountains and in the deserts.

The logistics to bring these people home safely and on time are a nightmare to the transport providers. Additional trains, flights, coaches, boats etc etc would be added to the routine trips. What is unspoken, unimaginable, are delays, breakdowns or accidents when the travellers commute to and from their homes and places of work. If errors or mechanical faults were to occur for 3% of these trips, it would mean 90 million trips affected. A 1% error would mean 10 million trips affected.

The wonder of it all is that this annual mass migration have been going on smoothly, like clock work precision, with very little delays. A coach delay, a flight delay may just affect that coach or plane, a breakdown in a train, or track fault, would bring down the services of that particular line and many trains and passengers would be held back. It would not be simply detrained and the passengers walked to the nearest station and all is well. The journeys are in hundreds and thousands of kilometers and the stations are tens of kilometres apart. The providers of these services cannot afford to have train faults and delays. They did not have such luxuries to play with. They cannot simply apologise for the delays as thousands of people will be affected and you can have a riot in hand.

The Chinese transport providers have silently been providing these efficient services and have been taken for granted that it is part and parcel of life, normal, nothing unusual. The passengers, the govt, did not even have to say a thing or to acknowledge such seamless and efficient moving of people, transferring from air, sea and land services as if it is routine, to their destinations in time.

It is all about efficiency, technology, meticulous planning, work attitude and responsibility and many things more, to make this migration a success every year, every Chinese New Year, for the hundreds of millions of Chinese travellers. Nothing to crow about.

China has no military allies
This is the sneer the Americans keep broadcasting to the world and its allies. China may not have military allies, but it has friends all over the world and is the top and second biggest trading partners of more than 100 countries. China does not need military allies for two main reasons. One, China does not aspire to be a hegemon military Empire and has renounced war as an option to settle differences between states. China does not seek to threaten any country with sanctions or with wars. Two, China is now more than capable of defending itself against any external threat from the Americans or a combined force of hostile military allies.
Is China concerned about the Quad, the encirclement by the American Empire, or the military exercises conducted by a pretentious regional power like India? With China’s military might today, and growing, soon it would have at least 6 aircraft carriers, China is not even bothered by the threats of an American preemptive strike or an all out war. As far as India is concerned, it is irrelevant, insignificant and would at most be a pin prick irritant. China could overrun India any time if India did the foolish thing again.
India is positioning itself as a regional power and aspiring to be a superpower with a third world economy and infrastructure. All the silly countries that think India is going to be a super power and eager to be a part of this ‘great super power’ and India as their regional master are welcome to defer to this ‘great’ military power that has never won a war except to bully its small neighbours and treating them as semi colonies.
Even if India is to form a military pact with the 16 countries that are holding a joint military exercise, it would at best be a joke. Economically, militarily, in science and technology, India is still a third world country in every aspect. And these countries want to call India boss?
Would China be worried about a little ant crawling around when it is in contention with the USA to be the Number One super power in all fields? India is just not in the super power league for another half a century at least, if it ever gets there.

Gunboat policy – The table turns
1996 was a watershed in gunboat diplomacy between China and the USA. The Taiwan Strait crisis saw Clinton ordering two aircraft carriers to sail through the strait in a show of force. China was humiliated in a sense as it did not have an answer to such display of military might that reminded them of the foreign naval invasion of China in the 19th Century. The Chinese took the slap in their stride, retreated their military posturing and went back to the drawing board.
China must not again be threatened by the Americans by military means, especially naval power superiority. The unprovoked hideous Belgrade Embassy bombing in 1999 by the Americans was another big blow to the dignity of the Chinese govt. There was still no answer to American military superiority. The Americans could hit the Chinese as and when they liked and the Chinese could not hit back, worse, with the threat of mounting a full scale attack on Chinese soil using aircraft carriers.
The acquisition of a Ukraine decommissioned aircraft carrier was seen by some as China’s attempt for military parity with the Americans. Since then this aircraft carrier has been refitted as the Liaoning, China’s first aircraft carrier. The talk of China pitting against the might of 11 American aircraft carriers with a relatively inferior solitary aircraft carrier does not hold water. The Liaoning is no match for the Americans and would be outclassed even in an eyeballing match. The Liaoning would not be sailing into the open sea to confront the American aircraft carriers.
No, the Liaoning or the construction of more aircraft carriers is not a military strategy to stare the Americans in the eye. They serve completely different strategic interest. China’s war with the Americans in the western Pacific Ocean would be to counter the massive buildup of American aircraft carriers attempting to attack China. In such a scenario, the Chinese answer to the American naval superiority in deploying aircraft carriers that can hit China without being hit is in anti carrier missiles, the DF21Ds and the DF26s. These are missiles specially designed and developed to sink American aircraft carriers at a distance, more than 1000km or 3000km from Chinese soil. With this kill range, the American aircraft carriers would no longer have the privilege of sailing through the Taiwan Strait like a cock, not even within a 3000km radius and think they could not be sunk. There will be no need for the Liaoning or any Chinese warship to engage the American warships in the western Pacific theatre of war.
The Chinese are turning the table on the Americans, telling the Americans I can hit you and you can’t hit me. It is not that the Americans did not have comparable cruise missiles to hit China from the carriers at long distance. The problem is that the Americans cannot afford to be within the anti carrier missile kill range as each carrier is a target consisting of hundreds of aircraft, missiles, nuclear weapons and thousands of elite fighting men and women. The Americans can launch their cruise missiles to attack Chinese mainland. The Chinese mainland could absorb the damages. The reverse is deadly and crippling to the American carrier strike force.
The Americans must keep their carriers out of the strike range of Chinese anti carrier missiles. And to do so they would not be able to use the carrier as a strike force, as a launch pad to attack China anymore. The Chinese want to keep the carriers far enough not able to strike China but could be hit by China. The Chinese strategy against the American carrier strike force is the use of all the missile bases in China, unsinkable, and massive numerical superiority, against the limited American aircraft carriers, all 11 of them, kept at a distance from Chinese soil. The carriers would be neutralised, defeating their purpose as offensive aircraft carriers.
The table has turned in favour of China in this game of gunboat diplomacy. The Chinese aircraft carriers have no role, or at most a minimal role, in such a conflict of military power in air sea battle. It is land based missiles against carrier based missiles.
A major conflict could break out in the western Pacific Ocean but would be fought under Chinese terms. The battle front would be far out in the Pacific Ocean, not near or on Chinese soil. All American and its allies’ naval craft within the 4,000km radius from Chinese coast would be neutralized once war breaks out.

Space station politics and retribution

The Americans have been putting all the road blocks to stop China from participating in the International Space Station programme since its completion in 2011. On the excuse of preventing the transfer of technology, the Americans have enacted many laws to inhibit and curb cooperation or communication with China in all national and commercial organisations and in space technology. China was forcefully locked out of the ISS programme to the clappings of the Americans and its anti China allies.

China then decided to go on its own to develop its own space programme and space stations. To date China has operated two space stations, Tiangong1 and Tiangong2. Tiangong3 will be launched either this year or next. In the meantime the Americans have lost confidence in their space shuttle programme after the explosion of the last launch in 2003 killing all 7 astronauts. Another 7 were killed in another explosion in 1986. Since then they have no faith in developing a working model to send their astronauts to space on the space shuttle or their own rockets. The space shuttle programme has been decommissioned in 2011 and the Americans have to rely on Russian rockets, for safety reasons, to send their men to the ISS.

What is significant in the space station programme is that by 2028 the ISS would be shut down, ending its useful life. It was supposed to be closed down in 2024 but its shelf life extended to 2028. By then the only space station in the sky would be Tiangong3, Made in China. China would be the owner and in control of the only space station in the sky. The Americans are desperate and have made overtures to send their men to the Chinese Space Station.

Here is the retribution. China is saying a big NO to the Americans. To hell with all your anti China transfer of technology scam. China would cooperate and allow every other country to send their astronauts to China's space station but NOT the Americans. It is not a matter of how much the Americans are willing to pay. It is politics, the politics of retribution.

You block me, I block you. That's what meanness meant and what meanness would get. The Americans would be the only man left behind just like when they made China the man left behind in the ISS. What goes around would come around.

The bigger retribution would be for China to pass more laws to protect its technology from being transferred to the Americans. China has been leapfrogging the Americans in many fields and it is a matter of time when the Americans would have to do the catch up and it would be China's turn to keep the American's at arm's length.

Just an example, the Americans are trying to build their own high speed train. The process of erecting a section of the train track took 120 days and hundreds of men on site, to fabricate, put up wooden frames, tie the steel bars and to pour concrete on the set up. It then took several weeks for the concrete to form and dry. For the same job China took just 1.2 hours and less than 20 men, with their own heavy crane designed specially for the job of laying the prefab concrete track. Everything else is done off site.

Things would get stranger when the American astronauts got caught in an ageing ISS and begging China for help. China may want to but could not as the parts were not designed to fit, China was locked out from their scheme of things and have developed their own system, and the ISS could not dock to the Chinese space stations to migrate the crew over.

PS. The Chinese GPS system is now so accurate that the Russians have abandoned the American and European system. The USA is also begging to work with the Chinese system. The EU cheated the Chinese investment in their system and this time will not be allowed to work with the more advanced Chinese system.

Western myth and smearing of the Chinese Civilisation

The Chinese and the Chinese Civilisation have been the victims of western smear campaign and disinformation for more than two centuries to the point that even today many silly bananas hate and despise the Chinese and Chinese Civilisation and themselves without knowing the truth. Just view some of the sick and silly comments of Singaporeans bananas in CNA onlines and some websites and you will know why and wondering how sick are the minds of these bananas.

As for the westerners, it is understandable as they were brought up with a diet of western history of dominance and the rest of the world are inepts and less civilised and less able than them. Some western historians and academics may harbour such negative thoughts of the Chinese Civilisation out of ignorance of Chinese history and culture, some out of their cultural bias, and some out of plain stupidity.

I will briefly explained the stereotyping of the Chinese Civilisation and try to dismiss their negative perception and interpretation and understanding of the Chinese Civilisation. To them the Chinese and Civilisation are backward and well below the intelligence of the West. This is not all. They have been passing the myth that the Chinese are aggressive and belligerent people and have been a warring state and harbour the ambition of wanting to conquer and rule the world. They have been spreading this lie and fear to nations of the world that many believe in this lie within thinking. They have been drumming this into the subconsciousness of the people of the world, especially those that read Chinese history and Civilisation written by the West.

The ingenuity, talent and industry of the Chinese need no further elaboration if one is to look at China in the last 40 years. After being conquered and ruled by foreigners for more than 400 years, being victims of invasion, aggression, wars and foreign powers plundering and looting the wealth of a once rich and advanced civilisation, China was in ruins by the late 19th Centuries till 40 years ago, ie the late 1970s. Given the opportunity to manage their own country and destiny, the Chinese people rose to right all the wrongs and all the negative perceptions of the Chinese people and Civilisation.

Some of you may be wondering why I said China was ruled by foreigners for more than 400 years. The western scholars could not tell the difference between the Han Chinese and the minority tribes in China. The Mongols and the Manchus were not Han Chinese but minority tribes of China, numbering only a few millions, a small fraction of the Han Chinese population. These were martial tribes with ambitions to conquer and rule over China and the Han Chinese. The Mongols even rode west to conquer Europe and the Middle East.

Be very clear, the Mongols and Manchus were not Han Chinese. The Han Chinese as a Civilisation has long given up wars and conquests. They have turned themselves into farmers and tradesmen, craftsmen and enjoying the arts and culture. The Chinese culture puts soldiering as among the lowest of the profession to be admired. No good sons would want to be a soldier and even if they were soldiers, their ranks in the hierarchy of the dynasties were lower than the administrative service officials. The warring DNAs of the Chinese Civilisation were long gone, lost by the 13th Century. That was the key reason why small minorities like the Mongols and the Manchus were able to conquer and rule China with populations of hundreds of millions. The Chinese have lost the desire to conduct war and soldiering was not a desired profession.

The Japanese read this very well and thought they could rule a peasant and artisan China and Chinese Civilisation. When the West invaded China under the rule of the Manchus, the Chinese Civilisation were suppressed to a hapless people. And the only soldiers were the Manchus and their Chinese conscripts. Even the Manchus by then were worn out, decadent and weak militarily.

Since the conquest and rule of China by the Mongols, 1279-1368 and Manchus in 1644-1911, the only Chinese dynasty in between was the Ming Dynasty. The Ming was famous for the Expedition of Admiral Cheng Ho, not of conquest. They too weakened and were conquered by the Manchus that ruled China for nearly 300 years. The weakened Qing Dynasty was succeeded by the invasion of the western colonial powers and Japan.

Thus, since the 13th Century, the China and Chinese Empire were not really Chinese except for the Ming Dynasty, a rather peaceful and non expansionist Empire that even withdrawn from the world after the last voyage of Cheng Ho. They destroyed all their naval ships and became isolationist.

The expansionist and belligerent warmongering Chinese Empires were non Chinese, ie the Mongols and the Manchus. When is the evidence or facts to call the Chinese as expansionist empire builders that sought to conquer and rule its neighbours and the world.

This myth about the Chinese and a warlike Chinese Civilisation is a western lie, a western fabrication to smear the Chinese Civilisation and to instil fear in the countries around China and the world, to demonise China. At the least, it is also due to western ignorance or deliberate distortion of history.

China and the Chinese Civilisation have never been a threat to the rest of the world since the 13th Century. Even today, China is not threatening any country. The island disputes in the South China Sea was a renewed and strong China reclaiming what were rightly Chinas, nothing more nothing less. China today still lost a lot of territories seized by the invading countries when it was weak and not taking them back. The act of taking back the territories seized by the invading countries cannot be seen as being expansionist or aggressive. These territories should return to their rightful owners, China.

China was a victim of foreigners since the 13th Century except a short spell under the Ming Dynasty. And during these 7 hundred years, China and the Chinese Civilisation were not a player in world affairs, so how can China be aggressive and expansionist? The white lie that China/Chinese Civilisation are aggressive and expansionist needs to be scrapped from the skulls of the unthinking. It was the Mongols and the Manchus that were expansionist and martial in their nature.

Where did the western colonialists get the idea that China is going to be a hegemon again? Why hype about a possible hegemon but acquisced at the behest of an existing evil Empire? Where did the rest of the world get this negative thought about China and the Chinese Civilisation as a hostile country or Civilisation? When did the simple minded unthinking bananas got this idea as well? From reading western myth, lies, and smear campaigns written by westerners to demonise China and the Chinese Civilisation of course.

Know your history and know the truth and save yourself from living under other people's lies and being made a fool of yourself and your Civilisation.

PS. An expansionist and aggressive warlike nation and Civilisation would not be so easily conquered and ruled by foreigners and invaders, for more than 400 years. If you want to know what is expansionist and aggressive, look at the records of colonialism, imperialism and the evil Empire maintaining more than 1,000 military bases across the world.

China –The world ‘s biggest consumer market beckons
The stereotyping of communist countries as poor and backward agricultural societies is over. Though this reality is as clear a bright sunlight, many that have lived under the western media’s condemnation and smear campaign of communist countries and communism would still swear, with their eyes wide open, that communism and communist countries are the poor and backward bad guys. The blinkers should have fallen off long ago, but these daft and unthinking beans would put them back on and keep on swearing at communism and communist countries.
China, with its 1.36b population is now the second largest economy and the world’s largest consumer market with at least 600m people that are middle class and with the spending power to match. They are hungry consumers for all the good things in life that money can buy. They buy them in China and the rest of the world as big spender tourists. Yes, they are communists, or from a communist regime that the West have branded as bad and evil. The one century of indoctrination and western propaganda is hard to shrug off, worse for the unthinking kind.
Be nice to the world’s biggest consumer market or you will have to face the consequences. The little white sheriff still thinks it is an European state and sided with the evil American Empire to be an enemy of China. China is closing its market to this little white rogue and it is crying in pain. China should persist in keeping this little rogue in its little corner of the world, not allowing its goods access to its market, not allowing its citizens to visit and spend money in Australia. Keep it that way for another 10 years and see how long it will last in its anti China and racist way.
The Americans started a trade war, fired the few first shots. Now it is thinking twice. Without the world’s biggest consumer market, many of American products would find no buyers. The agricultural produce would go to waste. The automobile companies, the aircraft industries, the high tech industries, including Apple would have its sales figures slashed. GM and Ford Motors would go belly up.
The same fate would apply to the European companies. They need trade, they need to sell their goods and services. And who have the money and the willingness to buy them? The rich communist Chinese in China. Any country that wants to sell their goods better be nice to the communists in China. They have the money, not 1.36 b of poverty stricken peasants anymore. They are travelling the world, strutting around with pockets full of cash.
Deny and defy the biggest economy and biggest consumer market in the world at your own risk. Without China buying, without the Chinese buying and spending their hard earned money, the world economy would have gone into a recession. Many European countries and their companies, including Americans, would go bankrupt without the consumers in China.
This is the new reality. Remove your blinkers, dafties. This is the brave new world of the 21st Century.
China should not just shut its door to Australia, it should do the same to a few of the rogue European countries like France, Holland and Italy and also Canada. Without the biggest consumer market in the world, and the second biggest market closing its door to them by Trump, these rogue countries would go bankrupt very soon. China should just do it, don't buy from them, don't trade with them. Pick a few like the saying, kill the chicken to frighten the monkeys.

Shangri La Dialogue - America's Military Forum for War
China has been accumulating trillions of reserves over the last 3 decades from international trades. The Americans are spending trillions of their reserves in the same period in conducting wars and destabilizing nations to maintain it dominance as the American Empire.
While the Americans are spending its trillions in conducting wars, in building weapons of wars, weapons of mass destruction and in selling arms, China is doing the reverse. China is ploughing its wealth into infrastructure developments in China and around the world, in manufacturing and in trades. While the Americans are trying to use and military might to maintain its grips and controls over its allies and enemies, provoking, threatening and intimidating countries with their military might, China is offering a helping hand to help countries to rebuild their infrastructure and to facilitate trades.
From Central Asia to the Indian Ocean, from Latin America, Africa to the Pacific Ocean, China has been spending its money for peaceful purposes to help these countries in their infrastructure and economic development. China is building ports in the Pacific Ocean, in Hamtambota, Sri Lanka, in Mauritius, in Malaysia, in Pakistan, in Greece, in Portugal and in Europe, to link all these countries under the Belt and Road Initiative. On land, the Central Asian landlock countries are linked to Europe and Africa with land transport hubs.
As a result, the economies of these countries are given a boost by the Chinese investments. Many of these countries were out of the way of traditional trade routes or been sidelined under the old trade routes. With the openings provided by the BRI, these countries are now in the centre of new trade routes and economic development. Despite all the negativities, threats and pressure from the Americans, the Chinese offer of development versus the American’s alternative of wars and buying weapons is an offer they cannot refuse. Some of these ports were leased to China on a 99 years lease, an arrangement that many nationalistic govts would refuse to sign away. This is in contrast to the Americans and the Europeans that came to conquer and to seize these countries as their colonies some for imperpetuity, without paying a cent. Countries leasing their ports to China must have seen the benefits from such contracts to their countries to say no.
The Chinese plan is very simple. Pour in the money for economic development and trade. Bring or divert economic activities to these countries and their ports. It is easy to build ports and road leading to nowhere like the Aussies claimed and trying to discredit and derail the Chinese BRI. China did not build these ports for nothing. Ports exist and thrive only when the ships are calling. The ships would only call when there are reasons to come. A good example is the Changi Airport. World travelers would come to Changi to visit the Jewel shopping centre? Not sure why they would visit the Tuas super port. The Chinese ships would skip Tuas when the Malaysian ports are ready. All Chinese ships would transit to all the ports they built in the BRI plan. A great example is the revival of the port in Greece and in Pakistan and soon Hamtambota.
Money speaks, when money is used wisely to benefit all parties. The govts of countries participating in the Chinese BRI could see all the benefits in the project. No gun was used to point at the head of these leaders unlike the days of western colonialism and imperialism. The respective govts could see what were good for their countries to jump on the bandwagon of growth and economic development, to prosper their countries in peaceful development instead of wars and living in fear of wars. No need to buy more weapons from the evil Empire.
Money is for food and the well being of their people, not for war machine to conduct wars. Wise govts would use their money wisely, not to buy guns.
The attitude and aggressiveness of the Americans are clearly evident in the Shangri La Dialogue. The American's plan is very simple, create tension, create fear by branding some countries as hostile and then offer them military treaties to protect them from the red herrings. Then continue to offer to sell weapons and war machine. If this does not work, raise the spectre of terrorism, support terrorists and used them to conduct terrorist acts in the countries, and then offer to fight the terrorists just like in the Phillippines and in Iraq and Syria. Send in the terrorists to terrorise the country and people and march in as the soldiers of God. They have been 'helping' the Phillippines to fight terrorism but the problem would not go away. Why? They have sent in terrorists into Syria and pretended to be fighting them to no end. Only when Russians moved in that the terrorists are defeated.
Now the Americans are trying to start another war zone in the South China Sea by sending in their warships to threaten and intimidate China. The evil Americans are playing with fire. China is not a pushover. The sad part is that the Asean countries would be dragged into this turmoil by this evil Empire and everything would be history.

The Shangri La Dialogue is a platform for the evil Americans to promote their war plans and incite countries to go to war. The Americans have nothing good to offer to the world except wars and war machine and weapons of mass destruction.

Why KMT, a legitimate govt, lost China to the CCP
Some commentators here, and also elsewhere, have been cursing at the Chinese Communist Party, CCP as a bad govt, anti people and all kinds of presumed crimes while holding up the Kuomingtan, KMT, as a good and deserving party to rule China and that China would be a better place under the KMT.

Just ask a simple question. How could a legitimate govt, with all the resources in its hands, with more and better equipped armies, lost its control and right to be the govt of China? Or how could a peasant army, poorly equipped militarily, no finances, no taxes to feed on, managed to drive the legitimate and more powerful KMT out of China? Is this not clear that the KMT has lost its moral authority to rule China?

Chiang Kai Sek inherited the KMT and govt of the Republic of China from its founding fathers led by Sun Yat Sen. And in double quick time he turned himself into a dictator, surrounded himself with corrupt rich officials, cronies and realtives. They made themselves very rich at the expense of the people, levying taxes on the people, forcing the people to become soldiers by conscription, feeding on the gentry and exploitative landlords. The rich just bear with the corrupt govt and pass the burden of their financial burden on the poor peasants and farmers.

The CCP were poor, but they helped the poor peasants and farmers. They siezed the lands of the landlords and distributed to the peasants and farmers. It is no surprise that the peasants and farmers, being forced into poverty by the KMT govt through taxes and the landlords with higher dues and rentals would throw their support with the CCP.

Why would a poor population, heavily taxed by a corrupt govt that only thought of enriching themselves, support such a govt and not the CCP that were robbing the land from the corrupt govt and exploitative landlords to give it to them? Any corrupt govt that continuously taxed the people recklessly and irresponsibly would end up in the same fate as the KMT even if they were legitimate, have control of all the govt machinery, and even with American support and a big and well equipped armed forces.

For those who are still blindly cursing at the Communists ruling China, they should simply look at the history of China and see how corrupt the KMT were, thinking only of enriching themselves at the expense of the poor peasants and farmers.

Tan Kah Kee, the richest Chinese man in Singapore visited China and wanted to donate his fortune to the KMT. He was invited to all the wasteful parties organised by the KMT and witnessed how they splurged the donations by their supporters on themselves. Tan Kah Kee was so disillusioned that he took all his money and gave them to the Communists. He knew that the Chinese Communists were the real nationalists and the people that were fighting hard to rebuild China for the Chinese people, unlike the corrupt KMT, enriching themselves and without a care for the people and the country.

I hope this would put right the farcical perception of some commentators here that China and the Chinese people would be better off under the KMT. What China is today, the growing middle class in China, speak for themselves.

PS. Can any govt acting like the KMT, only think of taxing and robbing the people to enrich themselves think they would not suffer the same fate as the KMT?
