Dow and Europe were weaker. Dow -139 at 14701. Dow's trend failed a golden crossing and is turning back down. Dow's future is now +16. Europe opened marginally down.

Asian bourses were mixed. Nikkei -105, ShanghaiC -4, Hangseng -69. STI closed at day high, +34 at 3402. Volume was 2.4b shares. Gainers were 230 and losers 263.

Trend of STI is up and hitting new high.

Top volumes were SingHaiyi unchanged, Genting +7.5, THBev +2, WEHldg -0.7, Albedo +0.2, Armarda -0.1, GoldenAgr -0.1, MDR unchanged, P99 Holdg 2.5, Noble +2.5.

Market was generally quiet with volume holding at around 2.4b. Blue chips were mostly green with DBS and UOB making big gains of 76c and 65c respectively. Penny stocks were mixed.

Genting gained 7.5c on news of good result as well as the opening up of Japan for gambling and Genting is a front runner for a casino there.

Europe is now slightly down while Dow is slightly positive.

Dow and Europe were firmer with Dow recovering its losses from the previous day. Dow was +131 at 14832. Dow's trend has avoided a fall and is turning back up. Dow's future is now -15. Europe opened mixed.

Asian bourses were mixed. Nikkei closed, ShanghaiC +31, Hangseng +22. STI -32 at 3370. Volume was 2.2b shares. Gainers were 158 to 319 losers.

Trend of ST is still up despite losing yesterday's gain. It closed at day low for the week end.

Top volumes were Genting -12.5, Innopac +0.5, CNA -0.1, Transcu +0.1, GoldenAgr +0.5, THBev -0.5, Singtel -12, AdvSct unchanged, AusGroup 7.5, Cedar unchanged.

Market opened flat but drifted down throughout the day to close at day low. Blue chips were mostly lower and returned some of the gains from yesterday. Penny stocks were also weaker. Genting announced fall in profit and took a dive after yesterday's strong closing. However, the fundamentals are good and should make a recovery soon.

There were no bad news and market closed weaker simply for the weekend.

Europe and Dow are mixed at the moment.

Dow and Europe were firmly up on Friday. Dow +142 at 14974. Trend of Dow is up with a golden crossing. Dow's future is now +9. Europe opened mixed.

Asian bourses were mostly up. Nikkei closed. ShanghaiC +26, Hangseng +225. STI +12 at 3382. Volume was 2.3b shares. Gainers were 271 to 214 losers.

Trend of STI is up but flattening.

Top volumes were YHM +0.2, GoldenAgr +1, Armarda unchanged, SingHaiyi +0.1, Innopac unchanged, Acma +0.1, Genting -2.5, THBev +0.5, SeeHS +2.5, AsianMic +0.2.

Market was up the whole day but closed near day low. The good closing in New York and the small rally in regional stocks did not do much good to STI, with only a 12 pt gain. Trading activities were low. Blue chips were firmer while penny stocks were flat.

Europe and Dow are looking firm tonight.

Dow and Europe closed marginally down last night. Dow -5 at 14969. Trend of Dow is up. Dow's future is now +12. Europe opened up.

Asian bourses were mostly up. Nikkei +486, ShanghaiC +4, Hangseng +132. STI closed +1 at 3383. Volume was 2.7b shares. Gainers were 299 to 216 losers.

Trend of STI is up but easing.

Top volumes were Lorenzo +3.3, GoldenAgr unchanged, OKHGlobal relisted 33, Innopac -0.5, Polaris +0.2, WEHldg +0.8, Contel +1.2, THBev unchanged, Yongnam +1.5, Genting +3.

Market opened up but closed at day low with profit taking by intra day traders. Again despite the rallies in regional bourses, our market was subdue. Volume inched up a little. Blue chips were slightly better. Penny stocks were mixed. It is still a very lethargic market with very tight trading.

Europe and Dow are looking positive at the moment.

Dow and Europe were firm last night. Dow +87 to close above 15,000 at 15056. Dow's trend is up. Dow's future is flat at the moment. Europe opened up.

Asian bourses were mostly up. Nikkei +105, ShanghaiC +11, Hangseng +197. STI closed +30 at 3413. Volume was 3b shares. Gainers were 313 to 175 losers.

Trend of STI is firmly up.

Top volumes were Equation +0.1, WEHldg +0.1, NexGen unchanged, Magnus unchanged, Innopac unchanged, Contel -0.1, Ntegrator +0.3, THBev -0.5, Hankore +0.1, Genting +3.5.

Market was firmer but closed off its high with a little profit taking at the end of the day. Blue chips were firmer. Penny stocks were mixed. Myanmar stocks were getting more interest with Yoma +2.5.

Europe and Dow are looking good tonight.

Dow and Europe were up again last night. Dow +49 at 15105. Dow's trend is up. Dow's future is now -4. Europe opened slightly down.

Asian bourses were mixed. Nikkei -94, ShanghaiC -13, Hangseng -33. STI +20 at 3433. Volume was 2.9b shares. Gainers were 263 and losers were 240.

Trend of STI is up.

Top volumes were NexGen +0.2, Albedo +0.1, Innopac +0.5, Contel +0.1, HLH +0.2, THBev +0.5, GoldenAgr +0.5, WEHldg -0.2, GSH -0.2.

STI was up the whole day on an up trend. It closed at day high. Blue chips and penny were firmer. Volume is still on the low side. Penny stocks are getting slighlty more active.

Dow and Europe are looking like pulling back a bit after their recent gains.

Dow was down slightly last night, -23 at 15083. Europe were mixed. Dow's trend is up. Dow's future is now +22. Europe opened up.

Asian bourses were mostly up with Nikkei rallying +416. ShanghaiC +14, Hangseng +110. STI closed +11 at 3444. Volume was 2.6b shares. Gainers were 302 to 210 losers.

Trend of STI is up.

Top volumes were Cedar unchanged, Croesus IPO +21.5, NexGen unchanged, GoldenAgr -0.5, Innopac -0.7, Transcu unchanged, CNA +0.1, Rowsley unchanged, ChinaNTown +0.6,THBev +0.5.

Market was positive the whole day and closed at day high. This is a firm closing for the weekend. Trading activity was still average.

Blue chips were mostly steady. Most penny stocks were firmer.

Dow and Europe are looking firm for tonight. Looks like the general markets are looking towards an up trend.

Dow closed +36 on Friday at 15118. Trend of Dow is up. Dow's future is now -45. Europe opened down.

Asian bourses were mixed. Nikkei +175, ShanghaiC -5, Hangseng -331. STI closed -15 at 3429. Volume was 3b shares. Gainers were 209 to 323 losers.

Uptrend of STI is weakening.

Market stayed positive in early trading and tried to stay up but fell in late afternoon to close at day low. The strength of Nikkei was offset by weakness in Hangseng. Blue chips and penny stocks were mostly weaker. REITs were positive.

Dow and Europe could retreat a little tonight.

Dow was -21 at 15092 last night. Europe were mixed. Dow's trend is flattening. Dow's future is now -21. Europe opened down.

Asian bourses were down slightly. Nikkei -24, ShanghaiC -25, Hangseng -60. STI closed +4 at 3433. Volume was 3b shares. Gainers were 237 to 251 losers.

Trend of STI is also flattening.

Top volumes were Sunmoon +0.1, Armarda +0.1, GoldenAgr +3, Innopac -0.1, THBev +0.5, NexGen -0.1, WEHldg +0.1, GMG +0.2, Federal +0.2, Ausgp -3.2.

Market opened up and only came down when Europe opened down. Blue chips and penny stocks were mixed. It was another sideway trading on a small band.

Europe and Dow are drifting down and may be down slightly tonight.

Dow and Europe continued their climbs last night. Dow +124 closing at 15215. Trend of Dow is up. Dow's future is now -16. Europe opened flat.

Asian bourses were mostly up and Nikkei rallied, +338. ShanghaiC +8, Hangseng +114. STI closed +10 at 3443. Volume was 2.7b shares. Gainers were 274 to 222 losers.

Trend of STI is starting to turn back up slightly.

Top volumes were Armarda unchanged, GoldenAgr +1, Innopac +0.2, THBev +1.5, Noble -2, YHM +0.1, NexGen +0.1, Sunmoon unchanged, Matex -2.9, WEHldg -0.3.

While other bourses were moving up strongly STI was neither here nor there, inching up slightly. Volume was low and speculatives were trading in very tight range. Blue chips were mixed with slightly more gainers. Penny stocks were flat with little movements.

It is a very difficult market to trade for profits.

Europe and Dow are fairly steady.

Dow and Europe were up last night. Dow +60 at 15276. Dow's trend is nicely up. Dow's future is now -10. Europe opened down slightly.

Asian bourses were more ups. Nikkei -59, ShanghaiC +27, Hangseng +38. STI +11 at 3452. Volume was 2.9b shares. Gainers were 250 to 231 losers.

Trend of STI is up.

Top volumes were Armarda unchanged, WEHldg +1, THBev -1, Innopac -0.2, CNA +0.9, Acma +0.6, GoldenAgr unchanged, Magnus +0.2, Ntegrator -0.6, Yongnam +1.5.

Market opened up but soon drifted down. It stayed barely flat for the most part of the day before recovering in the last hour to maintain a gain of 11 pts. Trading was subdue. Blue chips were mixed. Penny stocks fared slightly better with more gainers. However, the variations were small.

Dow and Europe are stable though look faintly weaker at the moment.

Dow was -42 at 15233. Europe closed mixed. Dow's trend is still up. Dow's future is now +23. Europe has opened slightly down.

Asian bourses were firmer. Nikkei +101, ShanghaiC +31, Hangseng +38. STI closed -3 at 3449. Volume was 2.9b shares. Gainers were 252 to 227.

Trend of STI starting to flatten.

Top volumes were YHM +0.1, Transcu +0.3, Albedo +0.1, Innopac -0.1, Armarda -0.1, Macqintinfra -44, Acma -0.2, SingHaiyi +0.2, GemsTV +0.2, GSH unchanged.

Market was flat most part of the day and closed at near day low. There were some closing of positions for the weekend in the last half hour of trading. Blue chips were mixed. Penny fared much better. Overall market was steady except trading was subdued.

Europe and Dow are also looking fairly steady at the moment with Dow's future positive at the moment.

Asian bourses were strong. Nikkei +223, ShanghaiC +17, Hangseng +410. STI closed +5 at 3454. Volume was 3.1b shares. Gainers were 283 to 224 losers.

Trend of STI is flattening. Looking a bit toppish.

Top volumes were WEHldg +0.9, YHM +0.3, NexGen unchanged, Innopac +0.1, Ntegrator +0.3, SingHaiyi -0.2, GSH +0.1, AdvSct unchanged, FDS Netv +0.8, GoldernAgr +0.5.

A rather disappointing day for STI given the rallies in Tokyo and Hongkong. It traded flat throughout the day. Blue chips were firmer. Penny stocks too were better. But overall market was subdue.

Europe is up now and Dow's future slightly down. Both markets are looking steady.

Dow was down 19 last night closing at 15335. Europe were up. Dow's trend is flattening. Dow's future is now 0-4. Europe opened down.

Asian bourses were mixed. Nikkei +20, ShanghaiC +5, Hangseng -127. STI closed -10 at 3444. Volume was 2.9b shares. Gainers were 246 to 250 losers.

Trend of STI is starting to turn down.

Top volumes were YHM +0.1, KepReit -4, Innopac -0.1, WEHldg -0.1, GoldenAgr -1, XMH +6.5, BundCentre +6, Armarda unchanged, NewWave +0.1, FDSNetv -0.1.

Market was down the whole day but closed off its low. Volume gone down below 3b shares. Blue chips were mixed. Penny stocks were mostly down except for a few stocks like XMH, BundCentre, Sinarmas and a few others.

Europe and Dow may come down a little tonight.

Dow and Europe were slightly up last night. Dow +52 at 15388. Dow's trend is still up. Dow future is now +14. Europe opened marginally down.

Asian bourses were mixed. Nikkei +246, ShanghaiC -3, Hangseng -105. STI closed +10 at 3454. Volumes were 4b shares. Gainers were 355 to 190 losers.

Trend of STI is still threatening to turn down.

Top volumes were NewWave +0.5, Ntegrator +2.2, Healthway +0.9, Innopac +0.1, Ipco +0.2, WEHldg +0.2, KLW +0.3, THBev +2.5, Contel +0.5, Magnus +0.3.

Market was up throughout the day. Gainers were much more than losers. Both the blue chips and penny stocks benefitted from the firmer market. There were some last minute selling to bring down index by 7 points from closing.

Overall sentiment seems better but still largely a trading market. Penny stocks are coming back into play, it seems.

Dow and Europe are steady though looking mixed at the moment.
