Dow and Europe retreated last night. Dow -115 at 13057. Dow's trend is down. Dow's future is now +12 while Europe opened down slightly.

Asian bourses were weaker. Nikkei -107, ShanghaiC -21, Hangseng -252. STI closed -6 at 3051. Volume was 1.4b shares.

Trend of STI is down but stable.

Top volumes were LantroVis +0.6, GoldenAgr +0.5, HLH -0.1,GemsTV +0.1, GSH -0.1, F&N +13, Noble -1, Genting -1, Goldtron -0.1, MDR unchanged.

With Dow and Europe pulling back last night, regional bourses were all weaker. Our market opened down but steady. It closed slightly better at -6. Being a Friday, the market is looking fairly stable.

Dow and Europe are also looking ok and hopefully there is no shocking news over the weekend.

Dow and Europe were steady on Friday with Dow +101 to close at 13158. Dow's trend is down but the rebound on Friday should arrest the fall. Dow's future is now -6. Europe opened flat.

Asian bourses were mixed. Nikkei +15, ShanghaiC -36, Hangseng -81. STI closed lower at 3044, -6. Volume was 1.5b shares.

Trend of STI is still down but flattening.

Top volumes were Sakari +40.5, Far East H Trust, IPO, closed at 95c, GSH unchanged, Nam Cheong +1.3, Goldtron -0.1, Noble unchanged, HLH unchanged, Genting -0.5, TTInt unchanged, Thakral +0.3.

Market opened up with the positive closing in Dow. It fell when Hangseng opened weak and remained flat for the whole day. Most counters drifted down slightly.

Sakari was boosted by a takeover to gain 40.5c.

Europe and Dow are looking steady at the moment.

Europe was up but Dow yoyo to close -33 at 13125. Trend of Dow is confusing at most. After slipping down it is attempting to swing back up. Dow's future is now -3. Europe opened down.

Asian bourses were mixed. Nikkei -52, ShanghaiC +17, Hangseng +13. STI was flat, closing unchanged at 3045. Volume was a miserable 1.2b shares.

Trend of STI is still looking down but flattening.

Top volumes were MDevt unchanged, Sakari +0.5, FarEast HTrust +2.5, InnoPac +0.5, Genting -1, Elektromotive unchanged, NamCheong unchanged, Noble -0.5, Rowsley +0.2, ChinaMinzhong +2.5.

Another listless day of trading with the market going no where. Volume was low and gainers and losers were about equal.
Is this a financial centre with the latest high speed computer and no lunch break supposed to be? Where is the volume, where are the investors and traders? Maybe the hoards of aunties and uncles from the heartland would come and save the market by emptying their life savings and pouring them into the market.

Dow and Europe are also trading more or less side ways. At the moment both are slightly on the down side.

Dow continued to be choppy but ended slightly down. Europe too were marginally weaker. Dow's trend is slipping and going down. Dow's future is now -20.

Asian bourses were mixed. Nikkei +37, ShanghaiC -20, Hangseng -23. STI +1.5 at 3042. Volume was 1.35b shares.

Trend of STI is still down but levelling.

Top volumes were Goldtron unchanged, GSH +0.2, DynaMac +2.5, EMS -0.4, FarEast HTrust +1, Noble -1, Olam -4, GoldenAgr +0.5, Sakari unchanged, Blumont +0.3.

The market was a big yawn, not going anywhere. Most stocks were flat with very little changes. It would need something to trigger it to live. Maybe some employing a few more magicians will do the trick.

Europe and Dow are also falling into the same pattern. At the moment both are slightly on the down side and would be like that subject to any new developments.

Dow was marginally up while Europe drifted down slightly last night. Dow was +4 at 13107. Dow's trend is sliding down. Dow's future is now -22. Europe opened down.

Asian bourses were mostly down. Nikkei -86, ShanghaiC -1, Hangseng -236. STI opened flat but fell with Hangseng. It closed -30 at 3012. Volume was 1.4b shares.

Trend of STI is weakening further.

Top gainers were Elektromotive unchanged, GoldenAgr -1.5, Goldtron -0.1, Noble -3, FarEastHTrust +0.5, GSH -0.1, AusGroup +2, Genting -1.5, Olam -5, IPC +0.1.

Market opened flat but went into a tailspin when Hangseng fell. It closed near day low at -30. The trading floor was as quiet as Bukit Brown. How long would it go on like this before Rip Van Winkle wakes up from its slumber? Where are the magicians and when will they try some Harry Potter tricks to flood the market with more ghost investors? Quite remarkable for a financial centre.

Blue chips were mostly in the red while speculatives were lying low.

Europe and Dow are looking weak for tonight.

Europe and Dow were much weaker last night. Dow closed -107 at 13001. Dow's trend is down. Dow's future is now +40. Europe opened up.

Asian bourses were mixed. Nikkei -144, ShanghaiC -5, Hangseng -70. STI +14 at 3025. Volume was 1.4b shares.

Trend of STI is down.

Top volumes were MDevt unchanged, GoldenAgr +0.5, Goldtron unchanged, GSH unchanged, Noble unchanged, Singtel +6, Elektromotive +0.1, Genting +2, HPHTrust -0.5, LionGold +1.

Another quiet day but closed firm with some short covering and probably window dressing. Overall market was mixed.

Europe firm open up and the recovery of Dow's future also helped. Looks like Dow will recoup some lost ground tonight. Europe is also looking firm.
