SDP pre GE Rally at Hong Lim - 19 Oct, Sat 4-8pm
Shake it Up, this is the title of SDP's rally this Saturday at Hong Lim Park from 4pm to 8pm. SDP's big wigs Chee Soon Juan, Paul Tambyah would definitely be the main speakers. There is no details on who are the speakers, would there be any guest speakers from other parties, it did not say. As the title says, SDP is going to raise all the issues affecting the people and to shake it up in Hong Lim Park.

I know the resident Chee Soon Juan hater here would not have anything good to say knowing how he reacted every time the name Chee Soon Juan is mentioned or not mentioned. This is exactly how the Pavlov dog reacted, conditioned to react at the sound of a bell, without knowing why. It has become second narure.

The other notable instinctive reflex actor is non other than Matilah Singapura. He reacts to more than just one name. Mention Kim Jong Un or Xi Jinping and he would instantly go crazy. He did not why, just reacting like Pavlov's dog, like the abovementioned reacting to Chee Soon Juan.

It is so sad that so many people could be so easily programmed by western media to react the way they wanted, unthinkingly, not knowingly. This is another confirmation on how powerful the media can be when it keeps repeating a few key lines and after some time this would sink into the unthinking's psyche, like MacDonald is good. Kentucky Fried Chicken is finger licking good.

These people did not know Chee Soon Juan or Kim Jong Un or Xi Jinping personally. But they have this deep seated hatred for them. Unbelievable. Ask them why, they could not explain except maybe faintly remembering reading the bad things about these people in the media, the propagators of fake news and misinformation.

Of course they would deny that this is the case. They would get very angry if you tell them so. But regardless of what, just press the button and they would jump and scream their heads off.

When a country destined to fail
No need to look further for a country destined to fail. When the time comes, such a country will be blessed with an idiot, who thinks he is a genius, to be its ruler and he will surround himself with twits and half twits whom he believes are the best talents he could fine.

The USA is in this state of development, destined to fail. And in strolled the new emperor Trump, godsend, who thinks he is the greatest, and sincerely thinking that he is going to save the USA, to make America great again. He could not see anything wrong with what he is doing while the bystanders watching could see clearly the road he is paving to hell. And his sycophants around him, all thinking equally that they are the best men and women, and all playing along with him, to make America great again, but actually going the other way.

Obviously Trump and his twits and half twits did not know and could not see the truth, the great tragedy that is unfolding before them. If they only knew, but that is not to be as the USA is destined to fail. Even the general American public could not do anything about it as they watch haplessly how the USA is plunging into the abyss. The big twit and his half twits are all happily doing what they are doing and believing that they are the gifts of God, the best men for the job of running the USA.

Is Singapore also in the same decline? If it is, then Singapore will also be blessed with a godsend and surrounding himself with twits and half twits just like Donald Trump is doing, all equally happy that everything is doing just fine without knowing that it is spiralling down into the same shit hole of no return. Let's hope not.

One anonymous posted this:

'The current bunch of PAPies r the result of the past pioneers ruling party dreams, there isn't much changes other than some twits here and there, today Spore is regressing as a society under the new gen of leaders with no new ideas but only twits. This island city need new ideas for a better future & Dr Chee & its party members will shape a new future for tis tiny red dot.' October 10, 2019 5:04 pm

Is this is what is happening in Singapore? If it is, then there is nothing anyone can do about it, just like the USA, it will fail.

How many of you agree with this anonymous and think this is so. Or how many of you are just like the bunch of twits and half twits thinking everything is fine, believing like the twits and half twits that they are doing great to keep Singapore prosperous and the Singaporeans will continue to have a great life of abundance under wise and able leadership for another hundred years?

Not many leaders would intentionally or consciously want to destroy their own country. It can only happen when they did not know that they are twits and half twits and instead of doing good for their country, like Trump's call to make America great again but actually doing the opposite. Of course he did not know that he is harming the USA and all Americans. This is how life is all about, and how great empires failed and fell, not for want to do something about it, but doing every wrong that they thought were right. And this can only happen when twits and half twits walk around thinking that they are geniuses and the most talented people on earth.

It always happen and never fails to happen. When the time is ripe, the durian will fall. They would not have signed the CECA if they knew that it is bad and will destroy the country and bring them along as well. They would not have done a lot of things if they knew that they were bad, like wasting so much money on white elephant projects, like wasting billions on foreigners instead of our own students, like flooding the island with more and more wildlife, like the insanity of wanting to have 10m or 20m people on this piece of rock. To them, these are all great things, for the good of the country and Singaporeans. Only history will pass the verdict when it is over, when twits and half twits would be confirmed, not as geniuses or talents that they believed themselves to be.

The real Chua Mui Hoong
Opinion editor of ST, Chua Mui Hoong, has for many years been on the receiving ends of brickbats defending the PAP in her opinion pieces in the ST. Many unkind words were used against her and her tribes in the organization with scant reservation.
Han Fook Kwang too was not spared though in the last few years he has taken a bolder front in criticizing and sharing contrarian views against govt policies and positions. In his retiring years, the restraints placed on him when he was the chief editor have seemed to be loosening and it is time to say what he really wanted to say for so long.
Chua Mui Hoong, though much younger and still far away from retiring, has finally taken a stand and stood up in defence of Alfian Sa’at, our local poet when the latter was attacked by Ong Ye Kung. This was what Chua Mui Hoong wrote in the Sunday Times, ‘I was disturbed by the way Education Minister Ong Ye Kung cited a few lines from Alfian Sa’at’s poetry to pain him as someone who might be disloyal to Singapore.’ She went on further to say this, ‘the 4G is a chip off the old block. Inheriting the same political DNA as the first three generations of PAP leaders, it is now merely showing its true colours. Online, some commenters drew this conclusion, citing the use of tactics of name-calling, character assassination and adhominem attacks to label critics negatively. The 4G in this view is just new wine in old bottles, and Singapore’s political development is as stymied as today as in the 1980s and 1990s.’
This is about the strongest statement someone from the establishment could say in print against a minister. This is the true Chua Mui Hoong, sharing the same feeling as Han Fook Kwang, Leslie Fong etc etc, that after so many years of being bottled up, it is time to let it go, establishment or not establishment.
The use of character assassination has been very effective in the past and many opposition candidates fell and suffered lifelong stigma with their life totally destroyed. Chee Soon Juan is one of the victims and till today, many unthinking still harboured this anti Chee Soon Juan trait and attacking him, hating him is second nature. The young of today and the bottled up old of yesterday could not and would not stomach such personal attacks any more.
New wine in old bottle is still new wine and those who have seen the history of Singapore’s politics, grew up with such abuses, have very little tolerance and deference to new wine to do the same. Time has changed and the personalities have changed. To be stymied and trying to live and behave like in the 1980s and 1990s by young upstart is very uncomfortable and difficult to bear.
A young shoot of revolution is sprouting not in the young but in the not so young, that the old, harsh and uncivil ways to deal with political opponents, all Singaporeans, all wanting to do good for Singapore, to smear them and call them names, is not only out of fashion but also out of context, out of time and character. For an opinion Editor like Chua Mui Hoong, still very young in life, to openly saying it out in defiance of the old ways is very telling. The revolt is coming from within. The new wine does not have the same hold on the old stalwarts of the establishment and the seniors at large. They don’t hold them in awe and in fear. They just don’t have it to be acting and behaving like the old guards, with nothing achieved and no authority to swagger around like untouchables.
There is a silent revolution in the making, led by the old wise of yesteryears that do not see much in the 4G that have nothing to show but acting as if they have arrived just by being put up there. Remember the tortoise sitting on top of a 20 foot pole? How did it got up there?
Would there be more Chua Mui Hoongs, more Tommy Kohs to rattle the status quo?

Chinese diaspora - Lack of pride and confidence
There were a few articles in the Sunday Times last week discussing the sensitive issue of Chinese identity in Singapore and in the region in general. One feature stands out glaringly from reading the comments in those articles and the comments by prominent Chinese, including intellectuals, is the lack of confidence and pride in being Chinese. They are afraid to express their views, particularly views that are pro China or Chinese Civilisation, they want to be known as Singaporeans not Chinese. They fear being seen as a Chinese. They fear they would not be accepted by other races for being Chinese as if being Chinese is a disease, maybe even killed like in some parts of SE Asia in the recent past.

It is understandable that after nearly two centuries of living under the western world order, reading anti Chinese literature and distorted news, when China and Chinese were demonised, smeared and bad mouthed as bad, poor, untrustworthy and everything negative, that even the Chinese, including supposingly thinking Chinese, highly educated and highly regarded Chinese, are still living under this western evil spell that Chinese are lesser and undesirable beans. To be Chinese is bad and inferior and better not to be identified, or to stand out as a loser Chinese. Just bend your head and go about your life, not as a Chinese, never call yourself a Chinese.

The instinctive negative bias against China and Chinese can be read in the article by Tee Zhou actually should read Zhou Tee, but he chose to write his name dismissively under the western structure though he is Chinese, titled 'Chinese influence : A political business'. I am quite sure his family name is Zhou and not Tee. I stand corrected. Zhou is a common Chinese surname. Tee is rare.

The article started with these few paragraphs, "Concerns over Chinese influence in Singapore have surfaced from time to time, most recently in a report published in July by United States think tank The Jamestown Foundation.

The report, written by Global Taiwan Institute executive director Russell Hsiao, asserted that the Chinese Communist Party was using Chinese associations here to influence Chinese Singaporeans.

In June last year, retired Singapore diplomat Bilahari Kausikan had also warned of China's covert 'influence operations', and asked Singaporeans to be wary of being manipulated."

The underwritten mindset in the above comments is that China and Chinese are bad, their influence is bad, they are the ones that are conducting covert influence, the rest of the big powers are good and are not conducting covert influence in Singapore, not on the people, not on the govt. The starting point is so bias and one sided, China and Chinese are the bad guys doing the bad things. And Chinese of other nationalities should hide their Chineseness, don't talk about it, pretend to be different, better speak up against China and Chinese like you are non Chinese.

Not all Chinese leaders and intellectuals with some dignity left in them are going to accept this kind of nonsense in silence especially those in the Chinese media and those in the Chinese clans and associations. Lim Jim Koon, former editor of Lianhe Zaobao was quoted saying this, "We cannot stop others from viewing us through tinted lenses or a distorted mirror, deliberately manipulating public perception and causing misunderstandings about the Chinese community in Singapore, especially to those less familiar,"

The article went on to quote some ethnic overseas Chinese academics and with one describing that raising the Chinese identity to a higher profile is unfortunate. Why is this unfortunate? Why is being proud of one's civilisation and success seen as unfortunate while glorifying and adoring the success of other civilisations as second nature, as a good thing? Inferiority complex?

The 100 years of humiliation and oppression of the Chinese Civilisation is over. China and the Chinese Civilisation have regained their positions as respectable country and people of the world. There is no more the need to feel ashame of being Chinese and of China as a poor and downtrodden country. This is the time to stand up, whether you are a China Chinese or the Chinese diaspora in other parts of the world, to walk proudly as equals of the rest of the world. The days of bending your heads low, talked softly and go about meekly as a defeated and bankrupt Civilisation is passe.

There is no need to apologise for being a Chinese and the growing influence of China and the Chinese Civilisation in Singapore and across the world. It is a natural thing that great and successful powers would have influence over other countries. And the influence of China and the Chinese Civilisation is not necessarily bad and in many cases are good, very good indeed. Look at what is happening in Central Asia and Africa and even Latin America? Compare to what happened to them when they were colonised by the evil West that the unthinking bananas chose to admire blindly.

If China and Chinese influence are bad, Singapore and the rest of the world should not be doing business with China. Why are the rest of the world rushing into China? Why is the Singapore govt gloating about good relations with China and wanting to do more business with China if China is a devil?

On the contrary, look at the behaviour of Australia, a white regime that stole a continent in Asia. They would not disguise where their sentiments and loyalty are. They are whites and would side with the white countries and would consistently choose to regard China as their enemy for the simple reason that it is China and not white. They did not have to be ashamed of themselves for identifying themselves as whites. Why should the Chinese diaspora be so ashamed of themselves as Chinese, afraid to be known as Chinese even in a Chinese majority Singapore? Where is the pride and dignity of being what you are as a people?

Do not be an apologist to say that Singapore is in a dilemma because it has a majority Chinese population and cannot choose to be friendly with China and less friendly to the Americans. It is about national interest. What is good to our national interest?

One professor Leo Suryadinata commented in the article, "...PM Lee is "fully aware" of recent developments on the issue of Chinese influence. In order to resist foreign influence, Singaporeans have to strengthen our own national identity. If we are weak or have no national identity, it is impossible for us to defend our national interest," he says, adding that this could be the "underlying message" behind PM Lee's remarks at the Rally."

Reading between the lines, the so called 'foreign influence' is bad and who is the country behind this foreign influence? I take issues with this kind of banana thinking, China and Chinese bad, western influence good, coming from an ethnic Chinese. It is disgraceful.

By the way, what is our identity? At best it is a chap cheng identity and getting worse with more third world wildlife becoming citizens to dilute our already 'no identity' identity. Our present identity is that of a rootless people with no culture and history but accepting and apeing the West as our root and culture. The only thing that these rootless people are proud of is the colonial heritage and their colonial masters. We do not know who we are, refuse to know who we are, especially the bananas who think their ancestors are white and Chinese are bad. Obviously they did not have a mirror in their homes. Sad isn't it?

There is no shame to be Chinese. There is no fear to be Chinese be it overseas Chinese, born out of China and taken different nationalities. A Chinese is just a tribe, an ethnic identity, a Civilisation, not necessary a national identity for the Chinese diaspora. A Chinese is a Chinese wherever you are. Be proud being a Chinese.

PS. Is Singapore's anti China mindset prevalent in the govt? If so, is this due to American pressure and influence or is it second nature to those in govt, to be anti China? Are those in Singapore govt inherently anti China and the gloating of good relations with China just hypocritical?

Did Trump ask our leaders for quid pro quo or else, or like George Bush Jr said, you are with us or against us, no pressure, no interference on our govt? Or is it that we quai quai say, just tell us what to do, if you want us to be enemy of China we will?

Globalists versus Singapore govt

Anonymous said...
The Globalists are a small group of BASTARDS who intend to reduce the world population under the excuse of sustainability.

Many countries, like Singapore, stupidly (or intentionally) tow the line of the Globalists. Their aim is to keep the masses poor and there unable to pay for health-care and therefore die faster. This pattern is now very clearly demonstrated in the present conditions in the life of the masses.

October 31, 2019 11:16pm

I think the above comments are confusing. Yes, the globalists would want to protect their own wealth. Their solution as mentioned is to reduce the world population for sustainability. No one can dispute or fight against the globalists, the rich and powerful for wanting to protect themselves. What I agree with the globalists is that the world is becoming over populated with human beans and eating and consuming everything from food to raw materials and natural resources. The more beans on mother earth, the more they need to eat and to keep themselves busy and alive. This earth will be destroyed by the human beans if they did not stop their endless reproduction of lives.

Compare the Singapore govt or the Singapore rich and powerful with the globalists. Yes they also want to preserve their wealth and good fortune. But the methodology is different. In Singapore's case they want to continue to add more and more beans into the little piece of rock to keep themselves rich by raising the value of their properties. They don't care if the income gap gets worse and more and more beans are unable to survive with the extremely high cost of living. They don't care about sustainability with wanting to increase the population to 10m, 15m or more as some dickheads suggested.

This is different from the globalists. The globalists would not think this is sustainable. Only dickheads think so, because they have run out of ideas to increase the GDP. Their only trick is to keep increasing the population, to use up every little square inch of land to build more buildings to keep the ball rolling. This is the surest and quickest way to self destruct, Self Administered Destruction aka SAD.

The globalists are any time smarter than the dickheads here.

Hsien Loong - Hot button issues
In his party address to 2,500 PAP activists Hsien Loong raised two hot button issues, one, raising of GST, and two, amendment of Constitution to ensure the president is from the minority group, from time to time.

In the first issue, despite claiming that we have so many hundreds of billions, maybe trillions, in our reserves, the govt is showing signs of desperation for money, to collect money, and raising GST is what it is going to do. Why so urgent, so desperate I don't know. Only reason is money not enough. If money enough, there is no need to keep on taxing the people. Right? Or because money got so much, more reason to want to tax more, to collect more money? I leave it to you guys to guess what is wrong or right with this desperation.

I think it is ok to amend the Constitution to provide for a minority president every now and then. I also think that this is unnecessary as long as the ruling party knows what it is doing, to every now and then put up a minority president as it should be. Having to amend the Constitution is a very serious thing and in our case a very complicated thing that would only aggravate the already sensitive and emotional situation, now made more complex with the irresponsible increase in population with more new minorities becoming significant in numbers.

In the past we have the CMIO formula that was quite readily accepted. Now with minorities that may become majority, with new minorities growing in numbers, a change in the Constitution is unlikely to please anyone and may even become a problem for the future. The number of Indians is increasing rapidly and could become a majority or near majority. The number of Pinoys, Myanmese and whatever tribes are also growing. How to cater to these new minorities?

We used to lump the significantly lesser minorities as Others conveniently. But if their numbers grow, would it be necessary to include in the Constitution for a Pinoy PM, a Malay PM, an Indian PM, maybe a Myanmese PM etc in the future? Would the now bigger Others be able to be grouped under Others when their numbers become significant to demand their rightful place in the island that once did not belong to them?

What would happen if Indians and Chinese are equal in numbers in the future, or nearly equal in numbers when the difference is undefined? Is there a need to define how many is necessary to be considered majority or minority? Hypthetically, what if the distribution becomes 40% Chinese, 35% Indians, 15% Malay and 10% Others? When the Chinese are no longer the absolute majority, and the minorities are not significantly lesser than the Chinese, how would the majority minority formula be defined or redefined? Would the current presumptive formula in the about to be amended Constitution still be valid and relevant?

Amending the Constitution on racial grounds is opening a can of worms that would be difficult to put back in. This is truly playing with fire as no formula is going to be right or acceptable to all. I would suggest stick to the present formula and do not try to fix something that is not broken. There is no one formula that would please everyone and it is better to stay with what we have now.

Lessons to be learnt from Hong Kong's riot and lawlessness? Do we know what is happening to Singapore?
What do you think Singapore can learn from the rioting and vandalism in Hong Kong? Why is the rioting going on for so long and who and which country is supporting and protecting the rioters? What is the game plan of the rioters? Who are they fighting against? The answers to these questions would give us a clear understanding of what is happening and what Singapore can learn and to avoid.

One, they are anti China and anti mainland Chinese. Two, they want a western democracy to the extent that they would not mine becoming another colony of the British or Americans. Three, they can count on the West, especially the Americans, for support, financially, politically and even how to riot, how to vandalise, how to attack the police with the support of the western govt and media.

The answers are very plain and clear. If Singapore is to avoid becoming another Hong Kong, it must continue to be anti China and anti mainland Chinese. These are easy given the presence of so many bananas and their anti China and anti Chinese mentality. Hong Kong's 5m or so anti mainland Chinese think they are big and strong enough to beat up 1.4b Chinese. Singapore's 1m or so bananas may also think they are strong enough to be anti mainland Chinese and can beat them up too like the stupid Hongkongers with American and western backers. Singapore in this sense is safe.

And becoming a western colony is something quite pleasant. Singaporeans had a good time living under colonial rule, just like the Hongkongers and becoming a colony of the British would allow the old Singaporeans to reminisce singing God Save the Queen again. It is second nature. They love that. And the Queen of England could come visiting every now and then to grace this island and make the anglophiles very happy. If not becoming an English colony, an American colony would be equally desirable. After all this is not a country for Singaporeans but for anyone that come here, invited here to make a living. The more foreigners the better. Singaporeans don't mind, did not know what is happening, did not know what it is like to lose their country and to be exiled from their once homeland.

As long as Singapore maintains an anti China and anti mainland Chinese policy Singapore would never become like a lawless Hong Kong. The Americans and the West would love Singapore dearly and would not instigate and support Singaporeans to go against the govt of the day.

Have no fear, Singapore would not become Hong Kong. But never try to break away from the American control and influence. Doing so would mean Singapore would become another lawless Hong Kong.
PS. important lessons, make sure the judges are Singaporeans, not new citizens. Also make sure the university professors are Singaporeans not foreigners whose loyalties are somewhere else. The education system and syllabus must be written by Singaporeans and for Singapore, not by foreigners, not by new citizens.

Only foolish govt would allow the judiciary and education systems to be controlled by foreigners. Hong Kong is a painful lesson to learn from. Allow our IT, banking and financial systems to be controlled by foreigners ok? Allow our employment and hiring system to be controlled by foreigners ok?

Still sleeping and living in ignorant bliss?

Cultural supremacy will rule without being forced
When the Arabs came to SE Asia they were immediately welcomed, their language, culture and religion were adopted and quickly became the culture of the region especially among the royalties and rulers. Being relatively primitive, the natives of the region did not have much to offer or stand against the superiority of the Arab civilisation and way of life. Arab's superiority in everything soon became part of the culture of the natives of SE Asia.

Then came the Europeans, the Portugese, the Spanish, the Dutch and the English. The assimilation of the European culture was intense and made possible in a very short period of time, often by force and also by association. They were the conquerors and the local elites have no choice but to live with the European cultures to survive. And being the new superior culture, they dominated the way of life of the natives in SE Asia. And they also came with their religion in Christianity.

The dominance of Arabic culture and religion was supplanted and the new European culture took over to replace them as the culture of the elite. Though some of the European cultures faded over time due to their short term influence and shallow penetration into the common people, the English language and Christianity became the way of life of the new elite. No one protested to being influenced and have to accept the new culture. The superiority of the European culture and way of life, rich and powerful, the rulers, were imitated by the local elites and the rich. Then monkey see and monkey do, the general public also started to mimic the European way of life and culture.

Education also played a very big role in colonised countries when the lingua franca and language of administration was English and with English schools set up everywhere. By the time the British left, English and English way of life and Christianity were the choice things to do. There were very few resistance to their adoption. The rich locals all wanted to be like the British, imitating everything they do, some changing their names to be like them till today.

The ancient cultures of Arabia, India and China too gave way among their own natives. In Singapore in particular, native Chinese find it difficult to learn and speak Chinese and some even rejected everything Chinese, wanting to be bananas and if possible becoming westerners.

For more than 5 centuries, the western cultures have been supreme, dominant and seen as more superior than the regional cultures. There is no need to force the more backward local natives to embrace western cultures. Western cultures are irresistible and attractive. The British did not need to force or coerce the locals to adopt British language and way of life. Living the English way of life is voluntary and in the case of Hong Kong they would even want to be subjects of the British Empire even today. Such is the power of a superior culture versus less advanced local cultures and way of life.

It is unimaginable for the local natives to force the British to be more like them, adapt their tribal way of life and culture and religion. No inferior culture would be attractive enough for westerners to want to embrace them, except for some western weirdos that some may find local native cultures and religions attractive. In general no. Even the ancient Indian and Chinese cultures that were in decline in the last few centuries have to give way to the European cultures. When these two civilisations were in their abyss, their people willingly absorbed other cultures to survive, and European was the culture and way of life to go after.

The world is changing and the rise of India and China has refocused the natives on their respective civilisations, to revisit their ancient cultures and become proud of them again. As the two countries develop and becoming more prosperous and powerful in the world, their cultures too would rise in status and no longer be seen as inferior cultures. They would return to their roots and the formal glories of their civilisations.

There is no need to force anyone to embrace the Indian or Chinese culture when they are seen as superior again. Europeans are also starting to learn Indian and Chinese cultures, language and way of life. No compulsion, no force is required. No Chinese or Indians would be there daily to want to force the lesser cultures or inferior cultures to adopt their cultures. There is no need to do so.

When a culture is seen as superior and useful, people would gravitate towards them, to want to embrace them. Only inferior cultures, inferior natives would want to force people from more superior cultures to be like them. Is it possible, like humans beans wanting to become apes when the apes forced human beans to be like them? It is possible if the apes rule the world of human beans, and over a considerable time their way of life would be the way of life of human beans.

The attractiveness of cultures rises and wanes with time. And over time, superior cultures and civilisations would take their proper place to be the leading light of the time. No amount of force could turn the tide and for people of superior cultures to embrace the cultures of inferior races and make it their way of life. A good example is the peranakan culture, fading rapidly and would soon be history though some remnants of the culture are gloating about how great is this culture.

We are in exciting times when the forces of civilisations are changing and competing again for supremacy, and only the best will triumph by virtue of the fact that it is the best. A new world is in the making and emerging. The western civilisation is facing competition and is resisting change to protect their supremacy and turf. The revival of Indian and Chinese civilisations is like coming full circle. The new superior culture is likely to be a hybrid of the different cultures and not the dominance of one culture. It would be the superior culture of the best of the human beans. The people of the world have their choice and would make their choice, voluntarily.

PS. Inferior culture or culture that is seen as backward, regressive, primitive, would never succeed in coercing people to accept and live by their culture.

Lessons from KMT losing the Republic of China
The KMT rode to power under the popular leadership of Sun Yat Sen, the father of modern China, from a colonial Empire. KMT became the ruling govt, the legitimate govt and the elites of the day were nearly all with the KMT. And the power of the KMT resided in the thousands of generals that they promoted to rule China. The reasons for KMT to lose power were unimaginable then when they were in power. The CCP was too weak, peasants with little support initially and mainly from the farmers and workers, not highly educated elites and aristocrats. The businessmen, the landlords, the politicians and generals were all KMT or KMT supporters or sympathisers. But eventually KMT lost China to the supposedly very weak opposition, with few talents and no experience in running a country.

When the foreigners ie Japan and the West were carving out China, KMT did not see that as a problem. When the Japanese started to occupy the eastern part of China, the KMT ceded the territories to them, withdrew to the West. The main preoccupation of the KMT was not foreigners or foreign occupation of Chinese land, but the opposition, the CCP. They believed that as long as they were the govt, controlled the govt and the military, the business elites, intellectuals, aristocrats and landlords would be with them and they could rule China forever, even with foreigners everywhere.

So the KMT spent all its resources and time oppressing and suppressing the opposition while ignoring the growing presence of the foreigners. It was ok for foreigners to occupy parts of the country as they were seen as lesser threats than the local opposition. In many ways the KMT was colluding with the foreigners, even helping the foreigners to fight the CCP and ignoring the plight of the people. It was great time for the foreigners as they increasingly encroached into China, even when they were occupying all the major cities and eastern part of China, they were literally left alone to do as they pleased.

As for the people, they were treated as non entities, to be taxed and bullied, to be robbed of everything. The people of China then had nothing, no land, no homes, as land and homes were owned by the govt and the rich landlords. And they carried the burden of the KMT govt and their wars against the local opposition, not the foreigners.

The KMT also relied a lot on the Americans to protect their interest as the govt of the day. They thought that with the American support, they could continue to rule China and the poor and helpless and jobless Chinese people. And why not when the people were powerless and allowed themselves to be bullied and ruled by the KMT without resistance.

It took many years of abuses of power and corruption in the KMT govt before the people realised that the opposition CCP was their real saviour, not the corrupt govt of the day. And it took the full force of the foreigners and their intent to conquer and take over China before the KMT realised that the foreigners could not be ignored. By then it was too late. The foreigners had taken over nearly all the eastern part of the country and the people had fled to join the opposition.

The only thing left for the KMT, the legitimate and powerful govt with many incompetent generals and the corrupt administration and landlords was to run away. And they ran across the strait to Taiwan, with the loot and treasures of China, leaving China and the Chinese people ever poorer. The KMT warlords, generals and the rich businessman and landlords continued to enjoy their wealth overseas, in Taiwan and in the USA.

The big question, how could a legitimate ruling govt, with all the elites, rich landlords and businessmen and all the talented but corrupt generals and govt officials eventually had to flee China, and ran away in defeat? Did they not see their corrupt ways, their bullying and exploitation of the people leaving them homeless, with no land and no homes, poor, jobless and hapless, and also allowing the foreigners to enter China freely, with little resistance, and the people at the mercy of foreigners, would eventually lead to the lost of trust among the people and the people turning against them? Mind you, till today, the KMT still clings to the image of Sun Yat Sen as the father of modern China to lend them credibility. Other than the father of modern China, the KMT has no more legitimacy as an ex govt of China. There is a huge memorial in Taiwan of the father of modern China.

Can history teach us anything about powerful govts falling and having to run away with their loot? All corrupt govts that bullied and cheated their people and in cahoot with foreigners at the expense and well being of the people of their country would lose the support of the people and their right to rule.

Singapore needs a referendum
The last time we had a referendum was when the govt proposed to join Malaysia with Singapore becoming a state of Malaysia. In such an arrangement, we lose our sovereignity, our future will be decided not by us but by the Malaysian govt that could be part Singaporeans, if Singaporeans were able to get elected into the Malaysian Parliament, or be wholly under the control of Malaysians like what is happening to Malaysia today.

The surrendering of a country's sovereignty is a very serious matter as it affects the life and future of all Singaporeans. Singapore belongs to the Singaporeans, and giving away Singapore to foreigners is an equally serious matter. Singapore can lose its sovereignty to foreigners through an act of war and conquest. Singapore can also lose its sovereignty to foreigners through its own stupidity by inviting foreigners to take over the country. If the Singapore population consists of 50% foreigners, through immigration, the granting of citizenship to foreigners, Singaporeans would have given the foreigners half the share of the island. If the proportion of foreigners gets bigger, it is as good as surrendering our country to foreigners.

No govt should be allowed to make such a decision to give away Singapore and Singapore's sovereignty to foreigners. No political parties or individuals elected to form the govt of the day, temporary custodians, should be given this right and authority to give Singapore to foreigners. This is an act of treason.

As the number of foreigners keeps on increasing and with the silly population policy of wanting to increase the population to 6.9m, mainly by bringing in foreigners to occupy and take over this island, soon Singapore will be in the hands of foreigners called Singaporeans by freely giving away our citizenship.

Should Singaporeans allow this to happen? Can the govt of the day make this decision for all Singaporeans and future Singaporeans? This island country belongs to every Singaporeans, not to any political party or individuals. Anyone wanting to give this island away to foreigners by whatever deceptive means must get the approval and consent of all Singaporeans.

Before Singapore ended up in the hands of foreigners, called new Singaporeans, we need a referendum to decide this, if this is the intent of the govt of the day. Daft Singaporeans cannot afford to be daft and allow this to happen in their time. If they do not do anything, they are being irresponsible to fellow Singaporeans and future Singaporeans, to their children and grandchildren. Our parents did not fight for this island to be given to people from all over the world. Our parents fought for this island to be handed down to their children and descendants.

We need a referendum now before the rice is cooked beyond recognition. Singaporeans need to decide if they want to give this island to foreigners, to share this island they built with foreigners, to allow foreigners to take over their homeland. Did the opposition parties see this development and making this their mission to prevent it from happening? Even if they don't, could not see this is happening, all Singaporeans must call for a referendum on this. This is our island, our homeland and we must not allow a few individuals, people elected for a few years, temporarily govt of the day, to decide this fate for us. This island did not belong to them but to us.

Wake up daft Singaporeans. You have been sleeping for too long and could lose your country if you keep on sleeping and do nothing to stop this trend. How big is the percentage of foreigners now called new citizens in our population? Are we now a minority and it is too late to do anything? Are the foreigners already a majority and taking over our country?

PS. There are many stupidity has no cure type telling Singaporeans to treat foreigners well, welcome them and help them to assimilate into our midst. Mind you, the foreigners are not here just to steal your jobs, steal your lunch, your country is at stake when they eventually take over everything that once belong to us, and make them theirs. Get it?

We owe it to our children and descendants to keep this island country for them, not to hand it on a silver platter to foreigners.

Hsien Loong - Singapore does have to make a stand
At the Davos Dialogue on Climate Change Hsien Loong was reported to be defending Singapore's position in making a stand when necessary. 'Because we are making decisions for Singapore, and not because we a cat's paw for one side or the other...that means you must have the courage to stand up and call things as they are and, from time to time, you will incur, well, at least a raised eyebrow and sometimes more than one raised eyebrow from one side or the other, and occasionally both.'

This is what Singapore stood for and it spoke so loud and clear over the funny Aquino govt's funny Hague Tribunal and the funny decision from a panel of funny judges that made Singapore stood up like a sore thumb in the region. And Singapore did not just raised eyebrow for being the only sore thumb that spoke so loudly but was taught a bitter lesson in not to meddle with big power politics. The bottom line was and is still believed in Singapore that Singapore would speak out loudly, would make a stand on grounds of principles and international law.

Now we have several incidents of Trump and the Americans violating international laws, interfering in the domestic politics of other countries and attempting to conduct regime change with their own candidates, would Singapore take a stand, or did Singapore take a stand? Or is it because the violator is the Americans so better to keep quiet, principle or not principle, breaking international law or not breaking international law also never mind?

If Singapore would not open its big mouth on such arrogant and blatant violation of international laws and principles, in the assassination of Soleimani and the support of opposition parties to overthrow a legitimate govt in Venezuela, Columbia and Bolivia, how would China think when Singapore talked so big and so loud against China in the funny Hague Tribunal judgement?

Did Singapore make a stand or it did not in these cases?

Covid19 - How to design the perfect biological weapon?
If any country wishes to design the perfect biological weapon, Covid19 is it. Now that we have seen how this is being played out, we can do a summary of the special characteristics of this virus and see how effective it is in spreading fear and terror and death to a population of people caught unaware. The world should thank China for taking firm, drastic and tough measures by closing down cities to prevent this from spreading. If this is to happen in any other country, especially the so called democrazy countries when they would take ages to debate in Parliament before a decision is made, if they could come to a quick agreement on what needs to be done, this virus would have spread across the entire world. Thanks to the central govt under the CCP and a strong leader in Xi Jinping to be able to make such a decision at such a short notice, another TianAnmen type of situation, do or don't do would also die.

The world is safer for the moment and the medical experts and scientists could have some time to try to figure out what this virus is all about and to develop an antidote for it. In the meantime countries around the world could test their containment and control and contact tracing systems to make sure they work. This is a luxury that Xi Jinping, China, has bought for them.

Now lets look at how effective as a weapon this Covid19 is and its special characteristics.

1. It must have a long incubation period and initial contact or infection should give very mild symptoms, not to raise any alarm. The long incubation period would allow the virus to spread longer and to more people and to a wider area by the time the first outbreak is detected and becomes serious. It would be too late as many people would have been infected and spreading the virus around.

2. It must have some semblance to something similar in nature to give the impression that it is a natural occurrence, not man made. Give the virus some moustaches and everyone would be misled to look for someone with moustache and forget that this could be something more sinister, could be created by evil human beans.

3. It must be safe and easily portable. Nothing is better and easier to move around, concealed easily and conveniently, than a capsule of viruses looking similar to any health supplement.

4. And when the incubation period is over, the outbreak would be very infectious and could be transmitted very easily from human to human at the slightest contact or close vicinity.

5. It must be deadly to inflict more harm and fear, better still if mismanaged by incompetent govts, to spread like wildfire to genocide a whole population, like the wiping out of the native Americans in North America during the days of Columbus when the Europeans landed and robbed their land.

Now that these characteristics have been narrowed, and the virus designed and tested, the next step is the execution. This is a no brainer as a capsule of virus can be easily carried by anyone and looking as innocent as health supplement. What could make this more effective and destructive is the timing and the location where the viruses are to be released. Look at Wuhan and the Chinese New Year migration of a few hundred millions of people! The Chinese population could be totally wiped out if this virus was not contained and locked down quickly. Credit to the Chinese govt for taking immediate action to stop this from spreading getting out of control.

Oh, to make this even more effective, get a DNA map of the targeted population. How? Pretend to conduct a survey, calling for volunteers of the targeted population to donate their DNAs. Tell them that this is a scientific experiment to help them, for their own good. Then add in some goodies like some cash awards. When the DNAs are collected, do the necessary to make sure the virus would react exactly as it is designed. And here you are, Covid19, a national epidemic in China but with minor damages to the rest of the world due to some hiccups and uncontrollable factors.

The Covid19 virus has all the desired qualities of a perfect biological weapon that is too good to be a random design of mother nature. The speed this virus is spreading is extraordinary. And where it struck, the timing was perfect, to inflict the most damages it could to a country. Or is this simply an act of God, an act of Nature?

Far fetched, wild imagination? Up to you. But this is the likely scenario when some evil minded people would want to do harm to other people or country. Heard of Project 731 and how evil and wicked those Japanese were, a national effort in using Chinese people as test specimen for chemical and biological weapons.

And who is the main beneficiary of the abominable experiments and having the biggest hoards of biological and chemical weapons? The most peace loving nation of course.

PS. China's medical scientists should stop catching wildlife to find a link to this deadly virus. Instead should spend more effort trying to find the culprits that released this virus in Wuhan.

The future is drones not F35s legacy fighter jets, not fighter jet pilots
ORLANDO, Fla., — Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk predicted Friday that the future of war would be carried out by autonomous drones and not by legacy aircraft.

“The fighter jet era has passed,” Musk said during a fireside chat with U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. John Thompson at the Air Warfare Symposium in Orlando, Florida. “Drone warfare is where the future will be. It’s not that I want the future to be – it’s just, this is what the future will be,” he added.

Musk also said that Lockheed Martin’s F-35 fighter jet, which is the Pentagon’s most expensive weapons system, should have a competitor.

“The Joint Strike Fighter, there should be a competitor ... that’s a controversial subject but I don’t think it’s good to have one provider,” Musk said. He later elaborated on Twitter that the F-35 competitor should be a drone.

“The competitor should be a drone fighter plane that’s remote-controlled by a human, but with its maneuvers augmented by autonomy. The F-35 would have no chance against it,” he wrote.... CNBC

How many billions have Singapore just signed away for a dozen F35s? Read the above and ask if this is a sensible thing to do. Also ask how many drones can be bought with the billions that have gone to the few legacy fighter jets F35s? Just heard that they would start with 4 toys and option to buy 8 more. Let' hope they would save the money for better uses by not exercising the option. Paying protection money for 4 toys should be more than enough.

The F35s may be good for show for a few more years, but by the time they are delivered, they could be obsolete, money down the drain. As for future jet fighter pilots, oops, I mean drone fighter pilots, they would be looking very nerdy, with glasses and not very athletic except for their fingers and their brains. No need perfect eyesight, no need strong muscular body to withstand physical and mental stress, high pressure etc etc. And Singapore has plenty of them, all ready to take up such glorious warring occupation. Future war heroes are made of these...nerdy looking drone fighter pilots.

The Saudis are very happy flying Chinese drones for attack missions. So were the Turks, but not sure where they bought their drones. The Americans too are using drones instead of jet fighters to protect the lives of their pilots from being shot down.

What do you think?

PS. Musk also said this,
“A thing that will feel pretty strange is that the Chinese economy is probably going to be at least twice as big as the United States’ economy, maybe three times,” Musk said.
“The foundation of war is economics,” Musk said. “If you have half the resources of the counterparty then you better be real innovative, if you’re not innovative, you’re going to lose.”

White racism against Chinese in London
One Singaporean student, unfortunately, experienced the horrors of racism firsthand in London, where he has been studying for two years. Jonathan Mok took to Facebook to write about a vicious attack he underwent recently, all because he’s Asian. As his assailants attacked him, he could hear one of them say, “I don’t want your coronavirus in my country.”
Mr Mok writes that he refuses to be cowed by the attack. “To the group of guys who saw fit to attack me because of my skin colour: here’s something for you— I stood up to you because I wasn’t afraid, I’ve faced far more intimidating characters in my life. And if you think ganging up on someone who is sizeably smaller than you makes you a big man — it doesn’t. It only makes every single one of you a coward who doesn’t have the balls to take someone on 1 on 1. Grow a pair.”....
In the hospital, Mr Mok was told that he “had suffered a few fractures in my face and might need to undergo reconstructive surgery to fix some of the bones.”
No stranger to racist remarks during his two years in London, Mr Mok now has new insights as to the nature of this type of prejudice. Once upon a time he believed that racism was grounded in stupidity, but now he believes it’s rooted in hate.
The above is posted in www.theindependent.sg. And this Mok guy claimed that they attacked him because he is Asian. That is a stupid statement that can come only from stupid Singaporeans. They attacked him not because he is Asian but because he is Chinese. Wherever a Chinese Singaporean goes, he is Chinese to the racist whites. Stop being silly to think there is a difference in the eyes of the white racists that you are a Singaporean and you will be spared.
I hope the stupid banana Chinese in this island understood this for their own good. If they want them to think that they are not Chinese, go and do the Michael Jackson act, bleach themself white, and also dye their hair dumb blond and get a new pair of European eyes, and also a plastic surgery to sharpen the nose. Then maybe next time they walk the streets of London or any European countries or the USA they may be spared, thinking that they are one of them.
Many bananas have bashed by the white racists, just like Matilah had in Australia but pretending nothing had happened, it was ok to be bashed by their white racist masters. When you are dealing with a snake or the devil, do not treat them like human beans. Remember the story of the old woman that saved a snake by taking it home only to be bitten? And the snake told her that she was stupid to think a snake would act differently just because she saved the snake. The snake and the devil do not reason with human beans. Only stupid human beans would want to talk reason with snakes and the devils to their own peril.
To this Mok guy and other bananas, it is pointless to say anything after being bashed by the racist whites. Learn to keep a distance from them, just like keeping a distance from the snakes and the devils. They would not spare you and would attack you whenever they feel like doing. It is good that thenewpaper put up this piece of ugly incident in the front page to remind Singaporean Chinese that it is not safe in white countries.
